Should You Collect Lois Lane?

😎Great subject and (hopefully Gunn ) hears why: the DC Silver Age was the ahead of time alternate reality of the MCU and Lois Lane was a "key" component of that entertaining era. The whimsy , weirdness , wacky wonderment was a carry over from Fawcett Comics and The Marvel Family. Otto Binder and Kurt Shaffenberger transferred their Marvel Family creativity to the Superman Family. What we see in Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen was undoubtedly in store for Mary Marvel and Cap Jr. Now the MCU has played with off beat but DC actually had it going in print. What I'm hoping for in the new films are source material possibilities. What if Gunn were to approach Superman in the style of the classic film noir The Third Man? By letting us see Lois and Jimmy together before Clark joins The Daily Planet all the while having Superman performing his amazing feats! Having Lois momentarily cross paths with future characters she will have Silver Age style adventures with. I'm a fan of Sasha Calle's Supergirl and the possibility of an imaginary type story where Lois meets her is not.far fetched! Not if Gunn can do a Lois SA approach. The off beat is getting popular and the Lois books will soon be in demand.

No.... NOOOOOOOOO, the answer is no, everyone stop collecting it so the prices go down and I have a better chance to pick up the rest that I need for my collection. Then you can all start collecting after that! OK, thanks for that folks. I don't know anything by any of the actors announced for the new movies. Oh man you have the Showcase titles too, now I am drooling. 70 and 106 may never get into my collection if they keep going up. Cool video mate, I hope your arm is healing up well

Chloropsia Comics here: just wanted to say that I have a deep appreciation for Lois Lane. The 60’s books were beyond bizarre and had some of the wildest covers.(Looking at you, #73) Lois whipping a dummy of Superman while the real one looked on and in bondage himself was eye opening!

I love Lois Lane comics. The golden and silver age editions are just so retro with fantastic art. I also really love the Bronze Age titles as well because early bronze is my jam. We are the same age and in 1971-72 I was hell bent on collecting any Superman family books I could get my hands on including Lola Lane and Jimmy Olsen. Watching your channel has renewed my interest in Lois Lane and for that I thank you!

I feel bad that I've never watched anything with Ms. Brosnahan in it, but if she has your stamp of approval, I'm all in. Such amazing books here, m'lady. Yes, that cover is from All-Star Superman, and is one of my favorite covers in that run (and the story is really great as well). I have high hopes for the Gunn era of DC films.

A LL issue from the 70s has the most horrific moment in a DC comic of the period - one of Superman's eyes grows bigger and bigger until his head is a huge eyeball! I was horrified by that as a kid. I have the issue now - think it's number 112?
