I added this machine to my lawn equipment for my company and so far have nothing negative to say. I originally wanted a 36 but I am extremely happy I got the 34. The 36 would not of fit in the yards that motivated me to buy a stand on in the first place. I would even consider a 32 stand on for the properties we service . I feel you get more for your money with this mower. I will be buying a second one next year but will be open to seeing competitive quality and price from other manufacturers. Good build, light weight, great cut, price is killer. Highly recommend 👍🏻👍🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have a 36 inch grandstand which really comes in handy for homes with tiny gates. In Florida push mowing a backyard would be exhausting. Therefore, these small mowers are worth it but not as a primary mower.
@hellocheckco

Agreed. The grandstand is in a whole separate category though. It much heavier and built much stronger. You could run that thing all day long on small urban lots. I don't think this would handle that kind of use.

I bet that the forward lean is intentional on the knee pad. With a mower that light its probably to help keep the front wheels on the ground.

I'm in NW Florida and service a fair number of flat, small residential properties, many with narrow gates. I decided to pick up the 34" in early 2022 and convert my grizzly old 42" Raptor to a backup. Alongside my 54", for me, it's the perfect combination. Hustler could certainly move the ignition switch...it's in a tight spot and I have big hands. I also am not in love with the narrow rear tires., but these are minor issues compared to what this mower has added to my business. It's absolutely for a specific purpose. That's why I bought it, and it does the job that my business needs.

Hey man, my set up is I use ramps to get my Ferris 32” fw15 and an exmark 30” in and out of my truck bed. Also have a 36” gravely walk behind that the ramps are fine for as well. I’ve never driven a stander before but would really like this 34” one. Do you think I’d be able to ride it up and down the ramps in and out my truck bed? Since you have one i figured you’re best to ask. I feel like maybe the 700lb 36” or 48” standers wouldn’t work with ramps but this 34” 470 lb might be the only one that’s possible? Thanks so much for response!
@moebiwan
@moebiwan Жыл бұрын
@@brianrod28 Sorry it took so long to get back to you. That might be a bit steep for stand-on like this. I guess you might need to test it out and see if you're comfortable with it, and I suppose it depends on the angle. If your ramps are fairly long with a gentle angle, then it shouldn't be an issue. I have a 12' utility trailer and can get the mower on and off it without any issues. Hope this helps.

Question, How tall are you? Also, I think they limit the speed on these because of the weight. I'm considering buying one to do lawns that are 4,000-6,000 square feet. They mostly have little front yards.and giant back yards and the gates are usually only 30-38". But these are all flat yards also. Sure would beat using the Timemaster and or a walk behind.
@hellocheckco
@hellocheckco Жыл бұрын
I'm 5'10". Yeah it sounds like this is worth considering if you're trying to save steps. I'll say that it was a pretty big speed difference going from a Scag VRide 2 to this. It felt pretty slow and also you have to awkwardly lean forward which I think would be hard on the lower back if you had to run it all day. Also, something to consider is that the rep said that this unit was not meant to be run all day every day!

@@Oversoul225 I ended up with the 36" revolt. I run only standers in my business. I would rather have that extra weight to stick slopes and a better center of gravity in general. I bought the bad boy to use only as a gate mower. I run exmark vertex standers otherwise. I can tell you this they are price point mowers. There are alot of annoying little things on them. Like the offset front casters. You can't get close to objects because of them. That's the whole reason you use a stander to eliminate trimming so much. I wouldn't buy another one that's for sure. Lesson learned on my part. You get what you pay for.

@ICUTGRASSLLC Жыл бұрын
I have one. Glad I have it and it's useful but if I hadn't yet bought it and I had the money would I buy it again? No. Here's why- there are too many small issues. The gas fill spot is difficult to fill, imo, without a funnel and I typically don't carry a funnel when out on my routes. Why in the world did they put it where it's at? You can't tell the level of the fuel tank while you are operating it you have to get off of the machine and walk around and look at the level indicator and the fuel bladder is way too small so you can't operate it that long before having to fuel up. The pad that you lean against might as well not be there as it literally feels like you are leaning up against particle board. The mower is SLOW- very slow. On mine- the day I took it out within 2 minutes one of the coils broke. After that was replaced another one came off. It needs more power it's just now powerful enough. I use mine for the backyards that have small gates where I had to use a small Toro 30". When compared to a push/walk behind mower it's a significant UPGRADE. Even though it's a slow machine it's still faster than walking behind a push mower. And, you don't get beat down as quickly using the Surfer Pro 34" as you do when walking behind a push mower so in that aspect it's still an upgrade- you save stress on the knees and you save time and energy. I have had about 20 lawn mowers over the course of my time as a residential lawn service provider and I can tell you that this mower is a $3000 mower at best. It's BEYOND OVER PRICED as it is. IF it had a larger fuel bladder, a lean pad that actually cushioned, a better location for a fuel fill up and a more powerful motor it'd be more realistic to be around $4,600 but as it is now it's simply WAY OVER PRICED.

The main problem with this unit is that it has Pro stamped on it but it doesn’t have serviceable hydrostatic pumps on it. That means it’s trash at almost exactly 500 hrs of usage even if you do All the scheduled service maintenance requirements as well as not surpassing the duty cycles or high cut preferences. 😢

@@PAIDFOR50 What I said was ABSOLUTELY true. It does not have serviceable pumps. So you can not service them. If a professional lawn care service uses it it will surpass the duty cycles. It is specifically designed for small backyards that the 42” mowers do not have access to, only occasionally.

@@TerrellWillams I said it is not true because it is simply not true. I have over 700 hours on my non servicable transmission and I have had 0 problem. What I just told you is a FACT! Not my feeling.
@TerrellWillams
@TerrellWillams Жыл бұрын
@@PAIDFOR50 I understand why you are saying. I also understand that you are absolutely correct in what you’re saying. If used in a residential setting under proper usage and limited duty cycles the mower WILL do EXACTLY what you said in your previous posts. What I am saying is that those pumps are NOT serviceable pumps and have no way to change the hydrostatic fluid. Heat is the natural enemy of those pumps. Choppin Blades is a professional commercial lawn serviceman. He is more than likely going to push that mower way past it’s engineered limits. They are only designed to mow once a week a little over an acre of grass at about 5inches. Small business lawn services are going to cut 6” tall grasses on a regular more than weekly basis that will tax the pumps past their intended usage. These are not my feelings. I’m a proper LLC that has dealt with those exact pumps brand new. There is a reason the pumps warranty stops at 500 hrs. Facts. Not feelings.

@@TerrellWillams I have a small business 1 man operation. Im retired. I mow an average of 7 to 8 Lawns per day 4 days a week. This is done with a Hustler mower with non serviceable pumps! This mower now has 724 hours on it. I have no reason to make this up. I am very impressed with this mower. I have had no problems at all. Once again it is just not true that the pumps fail at 500 hours because mine is at over 700! It okay to learn something new. Your arguing with FACTS! So you are wasting your time.
