Should You Get Paint Protection Film (PPF) For Your New Car ?

great video man! I say better to spend the money and get a pff than regret it later and can't fix it. My x3 looks good to most, but if you really look at it you can tell i should have got the ppf.

I’m super OCD, I got 3 rock chips just in the 2 weeks waiting for my PPF appointment (because he was booked up) I can only imagine how bad it would’ve gotten in 3-4 months of ownership. I PPF all my cars. 21 TLX Type S 22 MDX Type S advanced 24 Integra Type S 2020 GTR They are all full front PPF. I don’t care about the next buyer, I want it nice while I have it.

I’m on my third Vette (C6, C7, C8). PPF, like most mods, are for the owner, not the next buyer. No one picks one vehicle over another because of PPF. All they care about is the price relative to mileage and general condition. Dealers won’t even factor it in. If a vehicle is used, it will have rock chips. Some cars look worse with old PPF. It can be a PITA to remove and some “yellow” even though people say it’s a thing of the past. If it makes you feel better about your purchase, do it. But, don’t do it thinking it will help with the value of your vehicle in the future.

What RPMs should I keep a cold engine under? Also is it fine to drive on the highway with cold engine as long as rpm’s are low?

I thought the Tesla was a lease? If so, why the ppf? I meant to ask, is the C8 a long-term unit from Chevy?

No, I purchased everything. I wish Chevy or anyone would give me a press car to try for a while. I may need to start making some phone calls. The Tesla I PPF’d because I wanted to keep for myself for several years but unfortunately it didn’t work out that way.

maybe im a contrary opinion to most - but I see very little value in PPF unless you are taking exotic/rare cars. people spending thousands (2-5k in my area) to PPF tesla's or other regular cars that are dime a dozen dont recoup that money. the regular car buying public will not see the value that the enthusiasts would. its a waste

Yeah I spent couple grand to PPF a Tesla and it did zero to help my resale value. I bought that car assuming it I would have it for several years.
