Hello Bettina. I gave up coffee 2 months ago and it was not hard at all. I thought it would be much harder, since I was drinking 3 to 4 cups a day. But, I just stopped and I feel calmer. I did not have headaches, that I thought I I would definitely have without coffee. I replace it little bit with oat based drink, just to keep the ritual and I feel better. When I go outside to have coffee with a friend I usually order decaf coffee or just water. Life without coffee was very hard to imagine for me, so far I feel great. 🙏🏻

So good to hear! It’s amazing how sometimes our thoughts make things seem a lot harder than they actually are. 💜🙏🏻

Thank you for all of your videos. I gave up and started again after a fertility specialist told me it was ok. I decided today that I’d give it up again. I’ve found an organic water processed coffee which is really nice and doesn’t use the harsh chemicals to remove the caffeine.

You’re welcome. Yes there are some great ones out there these days that are decaf but without the chemicals. 💜

Well said. I went through a stressful time where I could feel it affecting me. My first pregnancy, I misunderstood I had to quit. When I had a loss, I thought why start again? I wanted optimal health. I did however drink decaf occasionally. I would also probably restrict even decaf first trimester. Now after...I am not sure.

Thanks Kristinista. I think it’s so important to listen to what your body feels good on. I now drink coffee but only before I’m about to do something active. I’m sorry to hear about your loss. How are you doing?

I love your energy, so calming but motivating. I am really struggling to give up coffee - do you feel decaf is a safe option or is even that a little too much caffeine?
@BettinaRae5 жыл бұрын
I honestly think it’s up to you and your body. Do you feel like one cup of coffee affects you? You can get some good natural decaf options though.

I really love your calming energy. After trying to get pregnant for over a year and one loss I'm ready to quit coffee. I usually drink just one in the morning. Do you think it's safe to drink chamomile or cranberry tea? I just need something warm in morning while I'm at work.

Herbal teas are great yes 😊

Thank you for posting this and sharing your personal stories. I am in my second pregnancy and have been drinking coffee during both. Though with my first pregnancy I stopped drinking it as much towards the end and during this pregnancy I had a STRONG AVERSION towards coffee for a large part of the first trimester. I've been drinking it again now in my 2nd trimester but notice negative side effects sometimes. I can relate to feeling more anxious at times and crashing later in the day. It also feels acidic and like it leeches nutrients. I'm wondering if there are yoga sequences that can help with increased energy? In the past, I would sometimes feel like it was easier to get out of bed in the morning when I did yoga regularly. Lately I haven't re-created that effect, I think I was doing more 'yang' styles back then. Do you have any recommendations for increasing energy through yoga? Thank you again for all of the great yoga videos and experiences you share!

What do you think about decaf coffee? I've had a few coffees (usually one cup max) in my early pregnancy and am worried now that it could affect my pregnancy because I felt the jitters like you described...
@BettinaRae5 жыл бұрын
Decaf can be hit and miss. Some go through a chemical process to take the caffeine out so are no good. But there are some good brands out there these days that are decaffeinated more naturally. Those ones are great. If you’re feeling jittery and anxious from the coffee it might be time to switch it out. But don’t spend too much time stressing over what you’ve already had. X
