Whoever has that liquid net worth is probably financially well off or good at business. Who would open a McDonald's franchise? What is it, just more of an investor to add to their portfolio?

If you had 500k to 1 mill liquid net worth why not just invest in dividend stocks and still earn like $20-50k a year for doing literally nothing. Then reinvest it, compound interest etc.

An upload all about, or briefly touching on how the process works for a restauranteur to turn an outfit into a franchise chain, in which others may buy in, just like Subway and McDonalds, would be awesome. It must either be really hard to do these days, OR there's an unrealistic wall of bureaucratic red tape in the way, probably of which the already existing chains have lobbied governments to create, right? Isn't that what's been going on over the last few decades, BIG Business lobbying governments to create more n more red tape, and almost impossible regulations for new businesses to exist in, killing the possibility for competition?

In my opinion, It’s not the government red tape, if you want to get into a good brand like McDonald’s you are mostly going to compete with the bigger franchisees with a lot more money than you that will scoop up the territories or stores for sale before you even have a chance to get a store. Also there is a lot of politics within the company and they award franchises to the people that they know. Trust me I’ve been trying to buy a franchise for years and it’s been hard. The brands that are declining like subway are easier to get into now, But getting into a very strong brand like McDonald’s, or chick fil a is virtually impossible now,, I am looking for emerging brands but there aren’t too many out there
