Should you let your Gaited horse TROT?

Should your gaited horse trot? Should he trot on the lunge line? Why would you ever want a smooth horse to trot?

Love your videos. I thank you so much. I bought a 16 year old Tennessee Walker this WINTER (did not ride her) whose back bone sticks out and had been ridden in the past by a very heavy person. The horse is only 14 hands high. We just started doing chiropractic work on her on a regular basis. She is extremely pacey so I am just starting on "head down". I know that we need to work to strengthen and develop her back muscles. It's pretty funny that she can do a long trot at higher speeds. Will that help her with eliminating her pace? By the way, I am envious of your beautiful, thick hair!
