What about Kansas still being at a minimum wage of $7.25 an hour? I moved out of Kansas years ago because of the minimum wage.

I believe the wage gap has changed. When did you move out of Kansas?

Everything is cheaper in Missouri. Traffic is worse in the ks suburbs.

I rock chalk hard but they have gotten a little better recently. They recently increased the tax percentage to their roads.

@@livinginkansascity7117nah. Just from Kansas and therefore can’t manage to drive except for 20 miles below the speed limit with the left blinker on. Fun fact, the term “Karen” was specifically in reference to people living in JoCo.

Missouri: earnings tax, car inspectons every year, if you own a boat or trailer everything has to be registered including your trolling motor. No kidding.

Earnings tax only applies if you live or work within the city limits of KCMO, which means if you commute to the city for work, you will pay the tax regardless of which side of the line you live on. Also not true that vehicle inspections are required every other year as most newer vehicles (less than 10 years old I believe) are exempted and even older vehicles that require an inspection are only required every 2 years if you get a 2 Year tag. If I recall Kansas obnoxiously requires you to renew your registration every single year and if you bring a vehicle out of state, requires an idiotic “title inspection,” because they evidently can’t give full faith and credit to a valid title issued in another state. Property taxes also higher in Kansas, and unless they changed it, taxes your groceries at the full sales tax rate as opposed to reduced sales tax rate on groceries in Missouri. KS also has outdated liquor laws. I believe KS, like MO, also charges personal property tax but don’t remember. I’ve tried to blot the 18 months I lived there from my memory.
