The question to chexy CEO or you would be how is Chexy making money other than from some customers not paying full balance by due date. Reason I am saying is there was a similar product that popped up 5-7 years ago which allowed money transfers using CC with no fees and they could only survive 2 years.

There is a processing fee that is paid to Chexy. Chexy is getting paid, the key is to use a credit card that makes it worth it for the processing fee, like a 4 percent cash back credit card.

The fees that credit cards and chexy charges, does that mean the landlord is taking a hit on such fees? For example, if the rent is $1500, is the landlord still receiving $1500? If not then I don't see why any landlord would go for this.

What happens in the states is not the same as in Canada supplementary cardholders do not get to build credit here in Canada

@@FinancialNirvanaMama tried this with my brother on my Amex cobalt and nothing shows up on his credit report. Google it, difficult to find but unfortunately it’s true

Is there a source that supports building credit for minors on a supplementary card in Canada? I'm looking it up every where, and can't find anything that supports that.

Can I pay with my wealthsimple card or something similar? According to the page, they charge $5 for using cash cards and the card generates a 1% return, which is more than $5.

Chexy I wish I could benefit from this but I'm paying via PAD. I'm curious about how their business will be impacted by the federal government's plan to allow renters to report their payments to credit bureaus.

This is great news for all renters and us! This will actually build awareness across landlords, credit bureaus and tenants of why this is important. Someone still has to enable the reporting, which is where Chexy comes in :) Liza, CEO of Chexy
