Should you pay the premium on the Livewire S2 Del Mar?

You pegged Daily Rider about right. My commute is 12 miles on paved country roads, so this thing is a blast for that daily run. I can take the long way home, and still have range to spare. Charge time for me is 5 sec - I plug it in and walk in the house. I think they went with the flat tracker design to give it more of a badass heritage XR 750 vibe. The Mulholland design is a good next step for a street bike. I’m all done with gas engines, so I’ve been watching the electric options as they’ve come out. I didn’t look seriously at any of the $10,000-12,000 electric motorcycles because they had kind of a Tupperware look. LiveWire hit this design on the money for me. Dig it.

yeah man, i agree with you, but we are definitely the minority. The design and style really won me over compared to so many cheap looking EVs, or the vaporware models that never deliver. kudos to LV for shipping the thing! It’s a fantastic 2nd bike.

It's a great around town hooligan bike. Priced at 10k it would be awesome for what it is. 15k seems a bit premium for the early adopter.

I was going to buy…but switched to xsr 900 because of Harley markups and limited range…Yamaha is great on tech and has everything the Delmar has except faster not torque withstanding…I think 10k was a price where they would really sell

test rode the XSR 900 twice, so tempting, love the looks and the torque, but the weight just kept me away from buying into it. I agree, it’s better buy of your budget is 11k

I still think it's a great buy here in the US as you've got so many dealers that can handle service. The real greatness of it will be in the used market, I'm seeing even energicas dip in price, the person who couldn't afford it brand new will be having a great time soon enough.

I test rode 1. if feels like an electric bicycle and honestly felt like i was gonna get killed on that thing. No sound means NO ONE HEARS you. The torque is good but if youre used to clutch, then turning can be nerve wrecking when you get that instant torque. Just my opinion, this is be a Sub $8k bike. Stop calling them motorcycles

It's for sure a motorcycle - maybe you test-rode something else than an LV Del Mar.
