I’m skipping if there are no Chevreuse or Kuki. I’ve skipped Mualani & Emilie for that reason & the repetitive 4 stars. I need my Xilonen & Mavuika. For new players, Raiden Shogun is great on many teams.

Yeah, as a lazy person who has been putting off exploration, these natlan charaters are a must pull for me due to how smooth and fun they are to use in the overworld (even outside natlan)

Raiden is a good qol for new players, but if you're planning to use her as an on-field dps at c0r0 for a long time, I'd suggest you don't try getting her. Even having chevvy on your team only somewhat saves her, and this is coming from a long time Raiden main. Not to mention you're gonna be forced to play Circle Impact with Benny in her Overload comps. Maybe if you're planning to get Nahida and play Hyperbloom or Neuvi for Electro-charged in the future then yeah go for her, but at that point you could just use either Kuki or Fischl.

True. You’re better off getting an actual electro DPS like Clorinde if you wanna cover electro DPS role. Raiden’s only good as a battery or off-field electro currently. She’s not much of a must pull.

It’s kind of funny using Nahida/ EM Raiden/Furina in overworld to let the hydro pets chase down and hyperbloom everything for you. I tried playing my c0r0 Raiden on-field but it doesn’t really feel worth it at this point in the game. I can free up lots of good Emblem pieces and The Catch by using her for ranged hyperbloom triggers.

I agree. I have c3 Raiden. Back in Inazuma she was strong but now she is average. After a while she gets boring too. I would avoid her even in hyperbloom team because Kuki and fischl are better

For the weapon banner I think it bears mentioning that if you don't have Raiden but are going for Kinich's weapon for Kinich, Engulfing Lightning, if you happen to get it, is a great pickup for Thoma, which is one of Kinich's premier Burgeon team mates.

I’ve had Raiden for years and is prob my best unit, she’s on the top for one main reason/ driving electro reactions. She is a comfort kinda character to play you know, besides archons are great to have, and if you choose to skip an archon all you gotta do is await a rerun- they’re the most common ones

I genuinely need some answers from the people in the comments who claim Raiden isn't good as a DPS when she's survived all other metas since her release to still be a backbone of the abyss for me to this very day. She has a fluid gameplay feel in terms of rotations and movements with the brute stopping power of an absolute battering ram. Kazuha/Bennett/Raiden with Yae or Fischl or Sara as the 4th slot is devastating, I thought you all knew this... did y'alls knowledge devolve or something. Dendro brainrot is real apparently. And I don't even know how this is debatable. Like I said, I'm still obtaining easy 36 star clears with her team. If you have Kazuha and can spare a slot for Bennett or go Bennett+Chevreuse this is a great pull against anything that isn't straight up immune to electro

It's because obsidian codex gives 40% crit rate so it would be way too easy to overcap on crit if it was a high crit weapon

Raiden C2 gives a bigger boost to damage than her signature weapon. I’d personally go for her constellation’s first before her weapon. Weapon banner is a trap and the chances of getting unlucky even with the new banner system is high. Con’s first always .

I think it’s a skip for me even if the 4* is chev which I’m still missing. I have raiden c0 and Alhaitham so I’m pretty covered in the roles. The problem I see with kinich is he seems more single target less aoe while alhaitham can do both pretty well. I have raiden and also I’ve survived without chev for this long, it’s a bit of a luxury pull and I’ll eventually get her off banner or a random standard pull.

@unlegendaryduc Nahida will make your Alhaitham and Keqing spring forward. That being said, Raiden and Chevreuse have so much value to bring to literally any account. If you don't have a super strong electro DPS to counter Raiden, then I think her and Chevreuse cons might be the way to go. If you want stronger future Natlan teams, Xilonen is going to be irreplaceable. Hope this helps! Ask any further questions😁

I’m saving for Raiden n will be happy to secure her at C0 then I’m going for her weapon since the new weapon banner is much better, I may go for constellations if I’m lucky with my pulls, if not I’m happy to wait for reruns. As for Kinich, I don’t really like dendro teams so will give him a miss but have to say his side kick is funny as hell😂. Am also wanting Xilonen cos I like Geo teams and let’s be honest, she’s the first real Waifu we have, she’s a beach babe fa sure😁.

IMO Raiden main DPS is not worth in 2024 as a new character, unles you are investing into C2R1 at least. She is good as sub-dps, but Kuki is still better for the role. Also she increases energy regeneration for the team

I got her C0R1 and she is working very well with Chevreuse: Arle+Chev+Bennett+ Raiden for Electro application (with EM build for overload, but her damage is not big anyway) so Kuki may work here as well. This team is clearing floor 12 their room within 1-2 mins. C1 for Arle is optional, I'd suggest considering Neuvi for second team (can't suggest Mualani, because IMO Neuvi is still better)

Shame, I've not pulled for Freedom Sworn on this weapon banner because I don't have Mualani and her weapon is too niche. Is sad to hear the same about Kinnich's weapon since I'm planning on pulling and maining Raiden. Don't think I can justify potentially pulling and getting a 5* claymore that collects dust.

As unfortunate as that is, you're still making the best decision by avoiding the weapon banner because you don't want the other weapons possibly. Perhaps on Raiden's next rerun you can consider her weapon!

I was gonna pull on this banner but I have Alhethim and the leopard girl looks tight. Especially if what I hear about being a kazuah 2.0 on top of her looks chefs 💋 Also was lucky to get Shoguns weapon while grabbing Ayakas. Got both in the same 10 pull. In the 4 yrs of playing I got double 5 star 3 times. 1 was a weapon.

Im at 80 pity guaranteed and currently have 135 fates as a f2p. Already have c2 raiden and her weapon but only c2 sara and c0 chev. I really want those 4star cons but with xilonen and especially mauvika coming out, i might just have to save since the new 5star cons have been really busted lately. So sad tho i wish there was a better way to get 4stars

I need some advice. Been playing for 6-7 months. I have a lot of meta pulls like Nevui, Furina, Arle, Kazuha and Nahida. Should I pull for raiden? II think she'd be a great help in imaginarium theater and I feel like raiden is better in hyperbloom than kuki if you're using zhongli. With xingqiu dmg reduction and zhongli shield do you really need kuki heal?

@@someonerational I wouldn’t pull Raiden just for Hyperbloom, because the damage ceiling for it is very similar to Kuki. It’s a nice tool to add to the toolbox of options, but most of the time, Raiden will shine in her traditional DPS build. From my experience, one of my favorite teams to play her in is actually a quick-swap with Tighnari, using Nahida and Zhongli as support. And of course, there’s also Overload with Bennett, Chevreuse, and Kujou Sara. Naturally, if you do pull her, you have the option to run her on Hyperbloom build.

Raiden is cool, but she is a song of the past. C0R0 Raiden is weak. Clorinde is a direct upgrade to Raiden - more damge, no energy needed, better AOE, faster animations, self heal, easyer to build, she gets 19,2% free crit rate, better in overworld - better in every way. The new Wyob Manifestation enemy drains all energy form the entire team. It will be a menace for Raiden in the Abyss. Raiden is not meta anymore, but meta is cringe ,so whatever.

@@todt1112 Well if you’re targeting Chevy and Sara, there’s no other reason to target them other than for Raiden. Chevy is an exception to be used with Clorinde and Arlecchino. On the other hand, Kinich could be a great pick up, even without his weapon and characters like Emilie. Just slap Bennett and Xiangling or Thoma in the team, and you’ll be busting everything in your way.

Great analysis as always. I'm watching your Raiden National Team and wanted to get some commentary on weapon choices: - Does the Catch go on Raiden or Xiangling? - Does the other get dragon's bane OR fav lance? - and I guess, one answer is - pull for engulfing Lightning, and then Xiangling gets the Catch. :) Anyway, for anyone who doesn't have Raiden, I'd say she is pretty much a "must pull". I think Kinich is a good dendro DPS, but Raiden is basically great on any team, and Raiden National is still a team I use for Abyss clears and that's a team people made back in 2.2.

You can choose to do the same. :) - If the weapon is such an easy pick, which would you pick? - "Must pull" depends on your criteria. Clorinde is an on-field DPS character - none of which fall into the "must pull" for me. I think everyone should have at least 1 or 2 strong DPS characters - the current top three being Neuvillette, Arlecchino and Alhaitham (by most community standards). Raiden fills in both the on-field DPS niche and the support/sub-DPS niche. She's arguably the most useful electro character in the whole game. That's a "must-pull" for me. It may not be for you, but we can agree to disagree. Clorinde on the other hand brings a lot of damage to the table, but isn't generally considered a "must pull" because the electro category (for now) is stacked with off-field applicators: Raiden Shogun, Yae Miko, Fischl, and Kuki Shinobu, all of whom I would prioritize over Clorinde - especially for someone who is still building their account. There's a way to disagree with people more respectfully - I know I'm not always right. That's why I test my ideas in a public forum - it's one way to learn. Keep it positive. :)

Ive got a c0r1 raiden and 180 wishes saved up. I do really like her playstyle as a dps and im thinking of going for C2. As much as i love her, my c0r1 nueve outperforms by quite a bit but mainly because i have c2 furina. Is her c2 worth it or should i just save for c1 nueve and c1 arelecchino?
