@@mariuszzwolak_ you're right. I had been following personal finance books. And many say, diversify to crunch that risk down. But I agree, most of us will invest our hard earned cash in riskier assets ,which in the long run, I propose will give good returns. But on the smaller scale will see these recessions and corrections (Capitalism is efficient and unstable lol). So, that's why I feel it's better if we diversify our risk and the riskier it is the more time we give to that class of assets.

@@ADI-xp4qe Absolutely, diversify, many baskets and eggs. On average there is a recession every five to ten years then you have your pandemics, crashes and personal dilemmas etc. i stopped planning a while ago. Although, pandemic made everything go online to the benefit of us digital artists, you never know

Siamak, your videos and interviews with artists based on everyone's experiences and their own views of what's wrong with and great about this lifestyle has been really eye opening and motivating stuff. Thank you for these style of videos. Keep making more of them, please. I hope a lot of younger artists manage to stumble upon and learn from these podcasts and streams.

Also, allow me to add that if you are doing art just to get work at a game company or VFX house, make sure you retain the soul that makes your art beautiful

Being an artist is a privilege that comes with lots of struggles. I believe one should have some kind of economic safety before diving deep into the unknown, also I believe the process should be organic and people should smell motivation when they talk to you or see your work :D

Thank you so much for this content siamak! Can you make a video recommending you're favourite books and books that helped you become a better 3d artist? Much respect and admiration from iran❤

I pursue my art mainly to keep my mind and spirit strong. To stave off pain and depression when the world overwhelms me. Sure, I can make money on it, but that is not a primary goal

Changing the word art to craft changes how i think of business of art. Im not pursuing art as a high minded way of expression and the value is set by the art dealer. Rather as a skill that reflects pay to the skill level of craftsmanship. Like it or not we all pay rent and exist in a society, we aren't bankrolled benefactors and kings ...unless you are on patron i guess. Cheers!

Please pleaseee do!! Your videos were everything i was searching for and even more , specifically coming from the same background and situation (country wise) that I’m currently in, it was really encouraging You don’t see many people online whose experiencing the same thing and as you know people like me whose already just beginning, get confused as to how and more importantly, where to start, what will come next and many other concerns I’m sure you’re already aware of. Like all those doubts and worries you mentioned, I personally experienced… what if I can’t get out of here, I’m almost 23… all those silly questions about making a living and so on… i wanted someone to bluntly talk some sense into me and help me figure out things I didn’t sleep for 24hours and watched as many videos as i could I honestly couldn’t stop:)) You completely changed my mindset about my goals, and even life in general I’ll be forever thankful to you Thank you so much for all the things you taught me so far🤍 I hope you and all the iranians all over the world, rock it even more! Best wishes on your future endeavors Siamak 🤍 + Sorry but i also wanted to know if you have possibly any suggestions and advices for a new beginner in my situation here in iran … where do i start and how to continue educating myself (with having 0 background in art) I started a course from inverse school here in iran, it’s an online school probably not that reliable:)) learning the fundamentals of maya But I’m not sure if I should’ve! Or I should’ve start Zbrush, but first anatomy… I’m like all over the place:) Wish i had someone like you as my mentor and teacher so I wouldn’t have to experience all these uncertainty… Anyways, won’t bother you with more questions Again, thank you so so much.
