The egglife wraps can also double as pasta replacement....use them as "lasagna" noodles or roll up 3 of the egglife wraps and cut into "pasta" strips. Adds protein to the dish and they hold up well and take on the taste of the sauce....the texture isn't quite like pasta but I have used the egglife wraps in a pasta application before and it was good.

I haven't eaten any ice cream in 2 years since starting my low-carb lifestyle, although I have been wanting it, I don't allow myself to go there, but I am curious about the Rebal ice cream that you showed us. I'll have to check it out. My hubby does the grocery shopping, so I haven't been in a grocery store in years, but I need to go now that you've given me some great ideas of low-carb foods I can eat. I deal with GI issues also, so I don't do gluten & dairy, plus I don't do any soy either. With my Dr's encouragement to go low-carb, I have only 20 lbs left to go! But I have been stuck for a long while. I did watch your tutorial on that, so I am looking into your tips. Thanks so much!

On the pasta shelf right above the banza and miracle noodles are two kinds of pasta I use in my low carb journey....it's the seapoint farms edamame noodles in that blue box--yes pricey but minimal ingredients and has protein with good fiber, and then Pastabilities brand in the white boxes above the banza--the Pastabilities has one with high fiber and high protein, like 17 grams of protein per serving for 190 calories. It's pretty good and filling.
@tamaraliscia340811 ай бұрын
Thank you! I will look for Seapoint Farms and Pastabilities. My body needs low fat and high fiber, and low net carbs so I appreciate the info. We've eaten the Banza brand of pasta because pasta was a way of life (late husband was Italian). Banza is good and has a good nutritional profile but we don't eat it often for the net carb numbers. I'd like to try different products that fit our low carb way of eating a little better. They're on my list to check out.

Thank you for this video. FYI, Mission makes a 0 net carb tortilla but they are small, smaller than corn tortillas & they are not gluten free. I was trying to weigh those against the Siete which I bought without checking the label. Guerrero also makes a 0 net carb, chipotle flavored tortilla (same size) & very good but not gluten free. I recently found a pack of southwestern style Egglife wraps. I haven't tried them yet but I'm hoping they take away some of the "eggy" flavor. I use these wraps/tortillas in place of bread for sandwiches, burgers, etc.

Would you give a review and demo of "resistant starch" rice? I've seen this but I'm afraid to eat is because of the carb concern. They say this rice doesn't lead to insulin spikes, but I can't believe all those carbs just disappear. Maybe they just take longer, but eventually you get them? It would be good to do insulin testing over a couple of hours and see what happens.

Oh gosh, I can't agree with you on Base Culture Bread. It's too hard and crumbly for sandwiches or even toast. The taste is good but I don't think the texture works unless you're going to make croutons or maybe french toast which would hold it together better.
