Long story short, I came from a large family. 9 children and there was very little food to feed us. Went to bed hungry most nights. So when I grew up, I decided that I didn’t want to be hungry any longer. I had my own money and I began to eat all the food I wanted and all the food I had been deprived of. No more hunger. So in the meantime, I gained 100 pounds over a few years and developed diabetes. I said enough is enough and took hold of the situation and now I am down to a normal weight and I maintain it. I omitted all the sugar and junk food. By the way, I battled a brain tumor during this time. I realized that if I can get thru a brain tumor removal, I can do anything. Thank you Jesus.

I was 340 lbs. I lost 120lbs. I had high blood pressure and was not feeling good at all. I had an encounter with the Lord Jesus and it changed everything. I workout regularly riding my bike or jogging, and try not to eat fast food or processed foods as well. I also do fasting which helps me tremendously. I am on a 40 day fast of no food just water. I'm on day 33 right now and I've lost another 48lbs so far. Eating fresh organic foods is the best thing for us. Here in the United States the food is meant to slowly kill us and keep big pharma companies rich off us being sick from the fake food we eat. It's terrible when you actually see the truth behind it.

As much as I admire your ability to do that, I don’t think this can be healthy for everyone. I’ve lost so much weight through fasting which was never my goal. I never felt overweight, but I guess I was a bit. I’m now 49 kilos. You can have an issue with comfort eating, as I have but not want to keep fasting, for fear of losing too much weight! Having said that God still asks me to fast, which I’m struggling terribly with, as I start and stop before he tells me to. I feel like he wants me to fast permanently! I’m sure that isn’t the case. I think it’s to get delivered from demons. I know demons cause overeating, and I have other health issues too. I’m trying my best to eat right, when I do eat, but the thought to eat more is still there! 😢

I lost 110 pounds in 10 months ..kept it off for 4 years. Then covid hit...gained about 20...then my beautiful mom got sick and being her caregiver and watching her suffer daily took its toll. When she passed away unexpectedly I went into a rabbit hole of grief and depression and gained at least 50 more. But, grief and sadness aren't excuses to neglect yourself and your goals and your temple. My turning point was going to the store and not being able to fit some 'baggy' size 16 jeans. I didn't harp on myself. I gave myself grace and love and understanding. Bought the jeans and decided right there in that dressing room that I owed it to myself to be my best. To get back to discipline and being proud of my reflection. I'm back on this horse like I never left and I feel great. To anyone reading this, you can do it. You have control of yourself. You are powerful beyond belief. Just do it. Sent with love.

As a child of alcoholics I was/ am addicted to sugar. I still cannot kick the cravings completely. For me it has to be all or nothing. Even one little sweet treat can send me spiraling out of control. On the back of Primal Kitchen products the found says” eat like your life depends on it” I love that quote, it is so true. My other mantra ( although I don’t always abide by it) is, you can’t eat it if you don’t bring it in the house. Good luck everyone. It takes a lot of strength and dedication.

Thanks for the great videos. I've sent people here for sometime now. Hopefully, my story will help others. I'm 80, male, 5'6 and have weighed 195 for years. In spite of being that heavy my health is good for an 80 year old. Other than when the temp is below 55, I ride a bike daily 25 miles. I wasn't losing any weight. A friend of mine unable to get out of her wheelchair had lost 100# over 3 years. That motivated me to get with it. I went low carb and a modified Keto diet and skip breakfast and lunch. What people don't realize is that your body/brain will fight you. I didn't lose a pound for 2 weeks, then I lost 4 and a plateau. After a few days 5 more and another plateau. After about 6 months I'm plateaued at 25# , heading for 30-35#. I found that you are surprisingly not hungry skipping the 2 meals. It's too cold to ride the bike for a month or so now. I'm lazy so I'm not exercising which might explain the 25# plateau. IMO the trick is to stick with it and accept the fact that it will take time. If I "need" a snack, I eat olives, a hard boiled egg or Pecans. Your recipes really help for variety. I'm down two pant sizes, and my blood work is better than it has been in 20 years. Obviously, when you hit your planned weight you CAN NOT go back to your old habits. I hope that at some point your brain will adapt to your new weight and not be fighting you. This video has been the MOST helpful. I was down almost 50 lbs. I was feeling good and then Thanksgiving came. I thought I was mentally prepared to "eat" with the family but... I haven't really stopped eating since then. I have fallen right back into the same pattern and I fought so hard to get out of since April. Now I'm 7 lbs. heavier and hating myself for letting myself get into this rut again. I don't feel any motivation like I had just a month ago. Please help!

Talk kindly to yourself. It’s okay to celebrate being with your family and get off the rails for a second. Rally around yourself. You can do ANYTHING you set your mind to. Aim your sight on your goal, move towards it with consistency. And never ever forget to talk kindly to yourself. When you are your own friend, that friend is going to support you no matter what. Faith in yourself will grow. You got this. Love, from a sister that lost 50 pounds in two years 2018-2020.

11:17 i never thought that food “triggers” exist. The realization hit me as soon as you mentioned it, and in just a snap, fast food immediately came to my mind. I can lose weight and maintain that momentum for a while, though I’m seeing the results little by little but every time I tried to eat fast foods again, because I have this mentality of “treating yourself” once in a while, im kinda losing that momentum and eventually going back to square one. Thanks for this little guide ❤

The honesty in photos can be very powerful. Before I even started Kindergarten I was gnawing on my fingernails. To the nub. In my senior year of high school, people started bringing cameras and taking pics. When I later saw me in them, in all of them my hands were fists. Lovely. And just like that I realized I was ashamed of my ugly nubby nails. With that realization, I quit. I can easily relate to your story at 17. They say photos add 10 pounds. I say photos as brutally honest. Thank you for sharing some of your journey. I would be interested in hearing more about your blood work.

Great video Mayra. Sugar and carb addiction is literally the devil. Its a hard habit to break for sure. I've kept 70 pounds off. But once I start on the keto treats and chips, its hard to stop those too. I don' t deny myself anything but I keep it to a minimum as most processed foods inflame my body. My weight is now good, but I want to lose 5 more pounds and it is a struggle for sure. Have a happy New Years.

Next was intermittent fasting and OMAD, regular ppl get incredible results- I didn't bc hormones. Adding the right supplements: Berberine, Inositol, ChromiumPic, LCartinine, NAC, Magnesium, GreenTea. Lastly, exercise- a simple 30+ min walk/hike. Get that sweat in has made a difference for me! I'm down 15lbs in three months, 50lbs to go. I want to get below 200lbs! I'm 35, Adrenal body type (weight all in belly).

Rarely I eat carnivore. I regained all the weight. In 2011 I lost weight with calorie restriction. In 2018 I did Weight Watchers and lost 80+ pounds. Circa 2023 I learned to replace my favorite flavors and tastes with lower carb and calorie alternatives. I’m down 103# and feeling like this is a forever eating plan. I eat chickpea pasta most times oatmeal for breakfast loaded up with Chia seeds, ground flaxseed, almond milk Raisins for lunch a big salad with a quarter cup of black beans, olive oil vinegar and then for dinner I’ll have a good car and my snack is maybe a rice cake with a little nut butter banana fruit I don’t like broccoli and the cruciferous vegetables don’t seem to agree with me

Thank you so much for posting this. I feel like a total freak because I work out so consistently and so hard… I do CrossFit 4-5x a week!! But even still, I can’t get my eating habits under control. It’s definitely a sugar addiction, but also junk foods are my triggers and my portion control is so out of whack. It’s like if I have a little taste of something, I can’t stop. I am probably 20-30lbs overweight, which might not seem like much, but my habits are bad and they give me anxiety. I feel like I’m harming my body by pumping so much junk/sugar into it. I’m going to bring it up to my doctor after seeing this video. Thank you!

I have an eating disorder, it started when I was in the 7th grade, I starved myself, I got really skinny and no matter how skinny I was it wasn’t enough, I did this until I was in my late 20’s and when I got pregnant I ate and started binge eating and I didn’t stop and I gained a lot of weight and 7 years ago I got type 2 and since that time I’ve been fighting it and fighting my food addictions and trying to get healthy. I started keto almost 2 months ago my sugars have dropped alot, I’ve lost 4 inches of belly fat, I had lost almost 30 pounds before I started it, I need to lose 40 more pounds, the scale hasn’t moved yet but since I’m seeing other positive changes I am hopeful the weight will eventually come back off. I’m also in therapy now. Having an eating disorder really sucks, it’s a battle I fight every single day. I found out I’m gluten intolerant so giving up bread, pasta, whole grains, rice, etc was a big change but necessary. The biggest thing is battling T2 and knowing I have to do this in order to save my life from the complications it can cause and I know from seeing my sugars dropping down like they are I’m headed in the right direction.I’m 56 now so its been a lifetime battle with food addiction that came from trauma.

For women, hormones play a big factor in cravings. It's not as simple as going low carb and sugar cravings go away. There are certain female monthly hormones that make women crave eating chocolate and other sugary stuff. The body loses iron and will make you more hungry than usual in an effort to replace those lost minerals, whether those food choices are heslthy or not is a different matter.

For me it was the pain in my hands. I have arthritis and carpal tunnel. I was in excruciating pain. I didn’t do the low carb or keto or anything like that. I stopped eating all processed foods and I have never been a big meat eater(but a big sugar addict). Also, stopped eating or drinking anything with added sugars. I didn’t exercise and I lost about 15 pounds in about a month and a half. I’m of short stature so being obese is something I have always been according to the BMI chart. I was pain free and I felt fabulous! However, I did have a set back due to my mental health which is something I have struggled with for years. I finally found a great Phychiatrist and am on a medication regimen that is working great for me. I am just now getting back into the healthy eating habits and will eventually incorporate some exercise. I watched your video about all the sf frozen foods from Walmart.
