I sure wish a lot of 20+ handicaps would watch this and their rounds would be so much more enjoyable rather than searching the woods for 6 hours. You guys rock, love the channel, keep up the great work!

Would you guys consider making a video on how to bring your swing system/new swing moves to the golf course? Doing pretty well with a lot of your concepts on the range, but having a nightmare trying to implement anything during a round, would be really interested to hear how you work through this sort of road block. Thanks for the great content!

This is supreme instruction, so many times the grip get forgotten about with golf instruction. Yet fundamentally it’s the most important part. It’s the only bit of your body connected to the instrument that propels the ball forward.

Neutral trail and strong lead. I don’t have the best trail hand flexión in my wrist to the close the face at impact. This works wonders for me

Hi Gents my H/C is plus 2 and im not young anymore hahahaha, but i was taught my left hand is pushing towards the floor palm facing the floor, then apply pressure on the grip with the grip being just under the pad of my hand and then grab with my fingers, so so stable, really great feeling.

Exactly! Plenty of pronation and extension in that lead wrist with that action 🔥🔥

Coincidentally, I played the other day and felt this during address. Higher hands and pressuring the ball. Had a great round. I thought I was going mad addressing the ball in this manner. Thank you for the detailed version of what I was feeling.

Do you put your left hand on 1st then align your arm and shaft OR align arm/shaft 1st then put your left hand on? If I put hand on 1st then push forward my knuckles disappear to only 1 visible.

Fascinating! It’s early season where I live but I’m experiencing something different than I have before. I was hooking my driver big big time. Duck hooks even. I weakened my grip pretty substantially, especially with my trail hand bringing it more on top of the club. This works very well for me. I was driving the ball straight and even at times with a baby draw. However with my mid irons 5,6,7 I was really pushing the ball using the same grip as my driver. When I strengthened my grip with my irons a bit it helped but sometimes more than I like, I would hook the ball again. I’ve never had to use one grip for my woods and a different grip for my irons. I’ve messed around with ball placement in my stance but don’t thinks that’s the problem. My stance is square for both irons and woods. Any thoughts you guys might have? Thanks

More than likely the ball can me more forward in your stance than you are used to. Jack Nicklaus used to play nearly every shot/club off his lead heel 🤔

Here I am with a strong grip and very little “squeeze” on the club, wondering why my irons miss left(sometimes left of left) The idea of feeling the pressure of the hit is soooo good! Thanks guys!

Another great video, as always…BUT the question remains…how does a player know what grip is best for them? The only teachers I know who have an answer for this is Mike Adams and Terry Rowles, who use a test based on how a person’s right arm naturally folds (which also determines the orientation of the trail hand in terms of its “strength”) that can be used to determine the appropriate grip that person should use. Otherwise, how else do you know? Do you try to put all your students in a grip where the left hand is stronger and the right hand is weaker? I would be curious to hear if you know of Mike Adams’ ideas with regard to an objective test that can help determine the grip the best suits you. I took the test and my trail arm folds naturally in such a way that puts my right hand in a slightly “strong” position, and accordingly the match-up take away involves some natural supination of the right arm during the take away to open the face with the shaft moving a little inside the toe line…which is often described as “death move” by some, but according to Mike Adams, that is the appropriate takeaway for someone whose right hand grip is “strong”.

Mike is fantastic and his numbers based approach to limb measurement is fantastic. Def deep dive. All we are saying is that the arms internally rotate to some degree based on the scapula protracting at address. The causes the head of the radius to move to a stronger bias in the lead and a weaker bias in the trail. Doesn’t have to be this way (obviously as there are many different grip types on tour) however always nice to know where a true neutral is and can work off of that space

Would have liked to hear more about the arm structure setup and how it ties in with the grip. At the end I heard internal both arms. I guess that means upper arm around humorous?

First. This is literally what I was trying today, but I was thinking about the center of mass rather than the entire shaft pressure. This will help. I have a "weak" lead hand though, will this make this harder or just as long as I am "neutral" when looking at what boths hands are doing?

Isn’t the real problem that the clubs not in the fingers? That if you try to mimic the look of a strong grip without getting it in the fingers, your going to end up doing a bunch of things with your hands and wrist. If you get it into your fingers properly, the hand sort of wraps around and creates that look naturally.
