I was the type of person that would buy a vehicle and trade it in after afew years. But for many reasons im keeping my 2018. Just turned 61k on the odometer as of yesterday. We’ve had our ‘15 jku sport since new. It was the first vehicle that all three of our kids drove. We just passed 80085 (😅) miles. Basic mods that we’ve done at home include steel front bumper, winch, lift, tires, big brake kit, front driveshaft, wheels & tires, on board air, reinforced hinge for spare etc. we’ve had a ton of fun in it and we would all miss it if we sold it or traded it in. That being said, I have really been thinking how much I’ve love to start over with a new 2 door manual. We never use the rear seat anymore now that two of our kids have their own cars. I really dig the mojito color and I’m glad to see it come back. Not sure what I’ll end up doing, but if we “upgrade” it’ll be a 2 door.

I bought my first wrangler in November of last year. Actually got it from eBay. It had been wrecked. Front end damage only and had been repaired. It’s a 2018 sport S. Mileage was just over 30000 miles and paid 23000 for it. Since then i have lifted it, put a winch on it, put 37s on it, re geared it, put a PRV sound system in it, Stinger 10 to replace the old 5.3 inch uConnect system, MetalCloak the whole underside of the vehicle, MetalCloak fenders and inner fenders, MetalCloak back bumper, motobilt taillights, etc. I’m sure i missed something. Best thing for me is it’s a 2-door. Color is ocean blue. Used distinction applied for door handles, latches on hood, and the windshield wiper thingies lol. I am absolutely in love with my jeep. It is everything and more than i expected. I am hooked guys. Im a 58 year old retired dentist living his childhood again. Love y’all’s channel. I have all of the creature comforts that i need. I got a Wrangler Rubicon 4xe in August of 22. I got it on a lease and I have loved it. I tow a little teardrop trailer and my wife and I go out to campgrounds I could never even imagine taking my 5th wheel. We haven't gotten too crazy on rough trails but it is definitely not been a mall crawler. I have taken it up hills, through dunes and through a lot of mud. I have always been an owner of a 4x4 truck but this go around I decided on a Jeep. I am very pleased that I decided to go this direction. My frustration is now with the recall and the fear of the battery exploding. I'm afraid that Stelantis is going to go bankrupt and that will be the end of Jeep as we know it due to this recall issue. I would definitely get a 2025 Jeep Wrangler or Gladiator but I can't do anything with my vehicle until this recall issue is done. I can't sell or trade it in on a new one. So I'm basically screwed... In the meantime I am going to use it and not worry about it. Great video, Pat

Hey Matt- Another great video. Just completed a Rubicon, CA adventure. Was looking to trade in my BMW 540 pillow barge. M Series with every option imaginable. Looked at a lot of SUVs and somehow my Snazzberry JLU Rubi stole my heart. Started with small upgrades from your videos (seat covers, storage solutions, etc.) then upgraded to 35" BFGs with 17" beadlocks and a 2.5" lift, Warn Winch, upgraded DV8 bumper. I probably could have done it on my stock JLU but had some much more confidence with my new setup. What people don't get is the Jeep community. So many great people helping you out with everything you encounter. I now know all the parts of my suspension and what they do. Something I just took for granted when the BMW dealer said it was a $2500 repair. Now I know better and many things I can do myself. My jeep built my confidence that I'm not just a victim. I can get myself out of a jam when I need to with a little help from my friends along the way.

While we are bagging on Jeep, lets remember how long the brand has been around, how many times its changed hands and how theyve eventually listened to owners for development (4 doors, V8, etc). FCA may be struggling with the brand, they may screw it up, but you can be fairly confident that Jeep will survive and at worst be sold off to another company.

I wanted the Majito but with the inline 4 cylinder engine. I do not like V pattern engines. They have durability issues. The inline, more HP, more torque, and durability through the roof. Also have better fuel economy compared to V pattern engines. I like for 2025 they have a inline 6 cylinder now. Awesome!!!

I think you are spot on with the primary issue for Jeep why they are struggling to sell. 70-80k for a "Luxury" vehicle people A) switching from a Land Rover or BMW, and they aren't really off road people will be disappointed by Jeep, and those looking for a Body on Frame, solid front axle type of vehicle, even if they do light off roading on the weekend and drive to work during the week, may enjoy the jeep but will question the cost compared to BMW, Mercedes, Land Rover .....

23 JLU Willys XR. The appeal of a rear locker or the full float on the Rubi gave me some buyers remorse for not waiting. The option packages on the 23 was just so much better. 24 and 25 options seems like Jeep mixed crap options in with the desirable options to force stuff on buyers. Bought a 2018 JL 2-door Sport with (unavailable) manual everything like Ryan, with the (unavailable) e-Torque, and the (unavailable) Sting-Grey color in May 2019, with a bumper to bumper 8 year warranty. Been paid off for years. Yes I had some corrosion issues. But, that, and the other items have been taken care of for $0 through the warranty. I cant come close to replacing it, but If I had to, it would be $44K+ - $3k more than I paid for my 2023 Gladiator. When the warranty expires in May 2027, I’ll start thinking about it. AND I Love my 2023 manual Gladiator Rubicon, as well. Less than $77,000 into both of them, including aftermarket upgrades, lifts, accessories, etc. There is ZERO reason for me to upgrade to a 2025. Have a 2014 JKUR since new. Have excised many of the demons, oil cooler x2, rocker arms, radiator, now running strong. The biggest draw in a JL or JT is the 8 speed transmission to keep the 3.6 in the power band, the downside is the continued mechanical warranty issues. If quality had improved along with price, I might jump, Until quality improves, I will hold onto my JKUR.

We currently own a 2015 JK Unlimited (JKUL) named Stitch, which we use for cross-country trips and, increasingly, adventures into Canada. It's not unusual for us to find ourselves 50 miles from the nearest paved road, especially in places like Wyoming. We started overlanding before it became trendy. We're planning to buy a 2025 Jeep Gladiator (JT). With 148,000 miles on Stitch, it’s clear that it’s staying in the family-my wife has so informed me. However, I’m looking for something a bit more youthful as we continue our travels. A major draw for the JT is the anticipated twin-turbo I6 engine. Even after regearing Stitch to 4.88 (compared to 4.56) for 35-inch tires, I’m growing weary of pushing it hard up long mountain passes. On a recent trip from Wisconsin to Montana, we battled headwinds and ended up with a blown head gasket. Looking ahead, the I6's power is critical since we plan to get a Patriot camper in 2-3 years. At around 4,000 lbs, I’ll need that extra output. Unfortunately, as of now, only the 3.6L engine is available, and there are unconfirmed rumors that Stellantis might delay production on the '25s until more 2024 models are sold.

The only thing I would have changed about it was the color as I am a big fan of mojito. The only thing in the 2025 besides the color that's even interesting is the larger display. But that's not enough to make me want to lose the power and fuel economy my diesel provides. If they dropped something like the hurricane 6 into it and I could get that mojito color, I'd be all in on the newer model. But without an engine choice with better torque, and HP, I'd rather dump my money into modding my current Jeep.

The 2.0T has great mid range power, if you floored it you'd notice it doesn't rev as high before shifting like the 3.6 liter engine has to because of the superior lower/mid range torque. If they cannot get their act squared away, I've let me wife know we may be looking at a Toyota for our next offroader. Think Jeep has issues, just look at Ford's issues. Having their leadership crying the sky is falling, fighting between the brand and it's dealers, and having major labor issues (can't imaging this helps with their build quality QA issues), it doesn't give a potential buyer a good feeling. You would think most of their dirty laundry would be ironed out behind closed doors vs super public press.

2018 rubicon msrp started at 39k 2025 rubicon starts at 43k that is a 9% increase over a 6 year period where inflation was over 20%. Stop spreading misinformation

@@Jay-bw3fl Ahhh, a salesman. All the Jeep fans dealing with all the issues and the CEO is getting 39 mil a year. You'd think instead of Carlos giving himself almost 50% raise, he'd fix all the problems first.

@@Jrbrass I’m def not a salesman lol I think wranglers are overpriced and horrible to drive as I own a 2021 Willys I bought brand new but I also don’t like all the people who keep posting the lie about how much stelantis has increased prices 40+%. It’s not true

I would but three things stopping me at this point. I want a V6 I wouldn't care if it is a manual but we all know that transmission sucks compared with the 8 speed auto. 2) Prices are ridiculously high still. 3) interest rates are high too

If I upgrade, I'm getting a Bronco. Stellantis needs more competition for prices to come down.

I have a 2021 Gladiator (Rubi) and no matter how much they've upgraded Wranglers they won't work for me, so it's Gladiators now and for the "foreseeable" future. As for the new Gladiators, they aren't any more capable off or on-road than mine is, so no need to "upgrade" to a new one. I'm keeping my 2021 for years to come...especially given the still-insane pricing. -- BR

I have a 2021 JT Freedom Edition in Snazzberry. I won't upgrade unless they give me another engine option. 4 banger turbo or the Hurricane engine is what I'd consider upgrading to.

My current Jeeps - Ordered my 2023 AEV JL 370 and my 2024 392 Final Edition. 2020 Rubicon was off the lot(sold) as was my wife's 2024 Sahara and my 2023 Mojave JT (traded on the 392). With 4 2023 and 2024 Jeeps, I will not be getting one in 2025. Also have a 2023 Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve 4xe that gathers dust as it is boring.

I’ll stick with my 2019. The pricing on these have become ridiculous. I mean now a Sport S cost what a Rubicon use to be. 🤯

Supposedly they worked on tuning in the suspension and smoothing out the ride also.

I work at a dealership as a tech but before I had gotten my job I bought a 21 Sahara, it was nice but it didn't have all the factory off-road upgrades and my previous job wasn't ideal for the payment I would have been looking at to get a rubicon, I upgraded to a 24 in January and couldn't get a Rubicon with the 2.0 as many people may know they stopped building them and I figured if I got a new jeep now I'll get all the new 2024 upgrades and still get to keep the 2.0 in the new Sahara, well I might have jumped the gun on that and after finding out the 2.0 came in every trim with the Auto transmission in 25 I may be upgrading again to finally pick my self up an extreme recon rubicon in fathom blue, but I'll be waiting till later in 2025 due to fathom being a late availability option

Does anyone know anything after 2018JK, other than new body style, are they bigger in size like head room, width, cargo space? They appear visually wider or am wrong?

Hmm.🤔 Last I test drove a 2018 2dr JL Rub I fell in love. Just couldn’t commit to the new payment thing. Haven’t test drove any new jeep since. We live debt free. Two years ago, I kept building a Willys’ two dr online. $48,000 in Ca. Ended up buying used 05 TJ Rubicon. Put $30,000 into it. Yesterday for the first time I drove it 150 miles. First 70 miles I kept it at 55. I could hear my stereo playing abit. Coming home, my fat-assed belly was making rumbling sounds, wanted food for the beast in me. 75MPH on long stretches of two lane endless Texas plains roads is mind boggling, then theres side winds. At 69 I still have a headache my head feels like shit. ROAD NOISE 😢 Scary wondering death grip on the steering wheel.

Currently I have a 2020 JLU Willys Sport S, Punk'n with tow package. This is my first Jeep product. Recently the Dealer offered me 25k, (I paid 32k used for it last year.) I know that offer will be going down in the future as I've heard some are only getting 20k for the same year/options. But I'm going to drive this one until it is no longer reliable. If it turns out to be as good of a vehicle as it's been this last year for me, I may get another wrangler in the future but not for a while as I need to get some use out of this one.

I’ve got a 2016 Rubicon 2 door that’s essentially stock and I wouldn’t upgrade to a JL mostly due to the increased cost of the JLs and the decreased reliability due to the extra electronics in the JLs

I have seen my exact '24 JLU Rubicon for $10k less than I paid. I bought mine right as the '24's came out. So you can save a TON of money on a '24 right now. My question is what happened to the new Hurricane engine that was supposed to be in the '25?

I’d really like to be a first time Jeep buyer… I want something to go off road and play… I don’t want a luxury vehicle, the trouble is, Jeep is charging luxury prices for these…I mean hell, add just a bit of trim and these things can start to out price a corvette?!?! I’d love to get an older CJ or Tj…where its basics and can be worked on without hooking yo a computer…the problem is, I’m not the level of gear head that requires…. Oh well…will keep researching, saving, plotting and planning.
