How's the battery drain been? Does the New chip and extra Processing make it drain faster? I've been using Air 2 pro with beam, planning to upgrde to One Pro as I don't find I use Beam' s specific purpose ie wireless casting and adapting devices that doesn't support display out. How's comfort with the heavier weight? As I'm planning to upgrade I'm aiming for the One pro, hoping the New Lens make the same display as Air 2 Pro just overall better . I'm also om the opinion that Air 2'z speakers is just bad, like worse than Samsung Beans bad, I always feel I need to Max it out, with Beam it's barely enough, connected straight to Dex it's a tad too quite for me.

Super interested in the ultrawide mode. So if you can make a dedicated video on that, it'll be great! The tool in windows that can be used to snap multiple applications easily side-to-side is the Microsoft PowerToys layout manager. If you can use that in ultrawide mode, how many applications can you open side to side before it stops making sense? I have a 43 inch 4k monitor so I don't think these will replace that just yet. But it's nice to know if this will be something like a good replacement when I'm travelling.

Thanks for the update review @KOLA - #XREAL should pay you as I brought the original Air1 and Air2 on the basis of your videos - so informative and covers all the tech details in full - without bias and BS. Nice work! These ones look great, 3Dof, wider FOV, electronic tinting and Bose are defintiely worth it as I never got the Beam as seemed messy and never found Nebula that useful on PC or android. For now though Im happy with my Air2s for now. Only issue was getting a correct adapter for HDMI output - brought a few that didnt work (I think not enough power) but will check out the options on your website. Thanks Again!

The difference in FOV is noticeable, but it depends on what you prioritize. Personally, I'll go with the pro

I took the previous generation and it was a mess, returned due to the image was so much blurry.. even with the prescription lenses.. do you think the adjustable IPD will solve that ?

Thank you... "The usb-c iPhone ultrawide mode works, but it needs an app like SpaceWalker that can handle 32:9 full uw mode. Or turn iPhone in landscape mode and use apps like safari etc - they will use the phone's aspect ratio fitted inside 32:9 container - filled with blacks on both sides and slightly curved."

Nope... In your case since you already have dex, the only benefit the beam pro will bring is 3d cameras, and basically having a dedicated media device if you don't want to use your phone all the time.

I'm planning on trying to replace my laptop with these + samsung dex on a galaxy + an ergonomic keyboard and mouse, a keyboard that works as sort of a "lap" keyboard would be better, since then I wouldn't need a desk and could work on a couch or random chair at school.

You can activate 3d mode, but youtube mobile doesn't surpport 3d videos as far as i know. To use youtube in 3d, you'd need some 3rd party app.

I have the ultra's and the Beam Pro, and I noticed that you can't get 3Dof with Beam Pro by connecting to the MacBook Pro, but you could with the normal beam? Why is that? Is there a work around for that with beam pro or just using the MacBook Pro with software? I saw your videos on using things like moonlight but there's a lag.

@kavonjonesmba there are currently only 2 other ways using the Ultra, and that's either using nebula for mac, or apples equivalent of miracast. The only wired option is woth the New Xreal Ones.

I have a question, I want to use xreal primarily on PC windows. Are there any huge difference between Xreal 2 and this new one when I can run nebula in PC? Or is it just the same experience, because if nebula can do pretty much everything this chip can do, I'd rather buy the cheaper one.

In ultrawide mode, nebula can do the exact same thing, but nebula is far from polished, it doesn't run on most people's pc, and worst drains the battery fast. This glasses on the other hand is extremely stable and uses very little power to operate. But you can always buy the cheaper Rayneo air 2s and use their pc software which is more stable than nebula, but then there are also some compromises with that.

Does it have a fixed mode like just using as an external monitor with Air 2 Pro? Specifically so that 1080p is actually displayed at 1080p on device? It was really the one thing I was super annoyed with when using AR mode via beam pro. I just ended up using only the android experimental desktop mode for that reason.

I have the RayNeo air 2s as well, but this is way, way better in literally every aspect. But there's no reason to upgrade if you don't need it, not now at least.

I have no idea, but their are also 3 nose pads included in the box. Medium is onnit by default and most people typically leave it at that. You can always use the smaller one.

They are very 2 different devices, i didn't get the ultra when they came out because xreal heavily promoted them as developer devices so i knew i'd be disappointed if i didn't get much support or updates, looking at things, i'm glad i didn't. But anyways, the only advantage of the One is the built in 3dof, besides that, the ultra is gonna be more capable once there are softwares for it.

The phone is receiving all the same input data as the X1 chip on the ones Maybe at some point, but I think their time for innovation is running short as Meta and Samsung are investing more heavily now towards XR

I've seen some offers of previous xreals (specifically also the xreal air 2 ultra) on AliExpress, so chances are that you'll be eventually able to access the ones that was, I'd assume. Crucial downside is that I'd suspect that xreal won't offer warranty if bought via that type of "unofficial" channel. I bought my xreal air from AliExpress a few months before they became available in Europe and couldn't get service when one of the arms broke eventually after about a year (managed to fix it for now at least).

It can play 3D videos online with the right service provider. If not then downloaded formats. Their are also apps you cam download to play 3d contents like iwebvr, those apps have depth adjustment, not via the glasses.

First thing first, you had to say: IF YOU WANT TO GET ADJUSTABLE IPD, YOU SHOULD UPGRADE ))))) (fck, its really most important feature for me, im using air2pro, and have blurry edges, i want to spread out lenses little bit wider). Its not about how good this glasses are, its about to fit your anatomy. What about arms? Same flexible as air2? or they got back to air1 fragile arms? As i got they changed nose support/lenses frame attachment shape (so lense frame will not fit to One?) What about text sharpness? As for me Air2pro has blurry edges, and kind of imperfections in birdbath lense (horizontal blurry lines in the middle, maybe its an issue only for mine glasses)

Ultrawide = 21:9 Aspect Ratio. What you're talking about is called Super Ultrawide which = 32:9 Aspect Ratio. Apple, Xreal, etc wrongfully keep saying Ultrawide instead of Super Ultrawide which is what 32:9 is. Widescreen = 16:9 Aspect Ratio.
