I was advised by an older dentist ( in his 60 ‘s ) to use Hydrogen Peroxide twice a day , morning and late evening, I just used the cap on the bottle as a gauge, I put 1 x Hydrogen peroxide into a very small glass,, and then 2 x caps of water , I swished around in the glass to mix it , then I took half what was in the glass and gargled and swished it between my teeth for around 30 seconds and spat out into sink , I then did the same with the half left in glass, I didn’t rinse / gargle my mouth out with water until a couple of minutes had passed thus allowing the Hydrogen Peroxide to work its magic ! I then cleaned teeth with toothpaste. I found this cleared up my bleeding gums , I also noticed it tightened the gums around some loose teeth as well, I did this for 2 to 3 weeks, to stop all bleeding . I still use it now but only in the mornings and not every morning, I have been using since I was 15 and now 68 , best antiseptic ever , used all the time by surgeons and vets years ago , before all the expensive medications pushed by Pharmaceutical reps .

I have same problem. No matter how much I clean dentist said most likely I have genetic gum disease ? Well she always says one area of my gum is inflamed or she is afraid it will get inflamed so I’m made to go in every 3 Months . I am So diligent with cleaning it’s upsetting. I have a good healthy balanced diet , never been mad on sweet treats . Desert once a week home made . I don’t like Sweet drinks. Our choice drink at home and outside is water . So I’m going to try this , bit scared though. I don’t know any British person who uses it !

At that time I started swishing my mouth with full strength [3%] peroxide for about 30 second then brushing my teeth and then after take another mouthful and hold it as long as I can after getting into the shower. My teeth have whitened by I'd say 90% and I have never seen any negative signs. I'm now in my mid-60's and I have no teeth sensitivity at all. Maybe I have demon mouth bacteria that is immune lol.

I once had tonsillitis. Hurt like heck to swallow and had two large goose eggs on either side of my throat. Gargled with my 3% HP and then spit out, rinsed, and fell in bed for 14 hours. When I woke up all signs of tonsillitis were gone. Gargled once more for good measure and that was that. Completely gone and no doctor or antibiotics needed. Now anytime I even get a sore throat that's the first thing I do...gargle with HP and sore throat gone. I also use in my ears. Clean all my countertops (kitchen and bathroom), appliances, vegetables, you name it, with it. It's fantastic stuff!

I ended up getting bleeding gums a few weeks later, and when I went to the dentist I was told I had gingivitis. I put straight into my mouth and left it for several minutes. My teeth now feel rough and more sensitive. How else can it be explained what happened to me. From Dr Google: Using hydrogen peroxide in a rinse or a paste may help whiten your teeth. But a high concentration may cause side effects, including damaging your teeth. Teeth whitening has become more popular in recent years as more products come onto the market. Your use of hydrogen peroxide after using tooth paste would remove the beneficial qualities of the fluoride in the tooth paste. Then you are leaving cleaned teeth unprotected again within minutes of rinsing. And rinsing any acid out of your mouth is a necessity. Acids can remove tooth enamel if not carefully used especially long term without your seeing it till it was too late.

@@WilliamMurphy-uv9pm I have yet to see one study showing a specific reduction as a percentage in cavities for fluoridated toothpaste as compared with a control. But you'd need that to show the OP's process is unhelpful. I was unable to find any study and suppose no such study may have ever been done. After all, the absolutely crazy assumption that DRINKING fluoride is healthy was a pure assumption as if you want a known toxin flowing through your entire body to get a tiny fraction of it on the teeth.

Hydrogen peroxide actually does whiten teeth as well as any whitener such as carbamide peroxide (the stuff in most tooth bleaches), but it does it more slowly for the simple reason that (1) it is less concentrated, (2) it isn't in a gel form which adheres and stays on the tooth longer. I'm not sure why this doctor is downplaying it so much going so far as saying "it's not going to whiten your teeth", then backpedaling to say "at least not effectively". He ended up with a correct statement, but only after first misleading. Ironically, before Crest Whitestrips hit the market, most OTC whitening products used hydrogen peroxide stabilized with gels bases, and even today you can find these as inexpensive whiteners. So in spirit at least, the information he gave was incorrect regarding its bleaching capabilities. The time frames for hydrogen peroxide whitening of teeth usually span months rather than just days for stronger bleaches like carbamide peroxide. Very ironically the most common tooth bleach used today, carbamide peroxide, was not originally developed as a tooth bleach...it was first used as an oral antiseptic much as hydrogen peroxide is commonly used. Orthodontists used it for their patients to help keep teeth and gums healthier when braces were used, and one enterprising orthodontist noticed its bleaching capability and realized there was far more money in the cosmetic use of it than it's antiseptic use...hence the crossover use as a bleach began. The FDA had only approved it as an antiseptic, so initially the crossover use as a bleach was limited by doctor prescription, - it had to be prescribed as a bleach. Hence you saw most OTC bleaches use hydrogen peroxide. I don't fully know the politics of this, but sometime in the 1990's FDA position on this changed, and the OTC floodgates opened so you saw products using carbamide peroxide being used openly OTC by 2000 or so.

I read a lot about advantages of HP, tried 3% from the pharmacy in many applications and was surprised it showed little effect if at all. I was looking for answers why. And the answer is: the preservative/stabilizer in HP blocks all benefits of HP. Simple as everything genius. 😊 I also used 12% HP from a heardresser's salon for warts removal. This one worked.

@TroyQwert
@TroyQwert 2 ай бұрын
@@markweaks2239, you mean on the lable or sticker? They do not always write that. But hydrogen is not sold without a preservative or in other word - stabilizer. That goes without saying. It's a normalcy. You can order one without, on request. Hydrogen peroxide solutions without preservatives should not be stored for more than a week or two, as the lack of stabilizers causes the solution to rapidly decompose and become unsafe, even at room temperature. Longer-term storage is not recommended for these preservative-free formulations.

Shown in the pics at 3:25 . The usual recommended alternative is white strips. Some of them contain a certain % hydrogen peroxide in them and are more effective. Crest white strips are what I use. They are pricey but I only get them once every 1-2 years. They do a good job. Also adding the crest whiting mouthwash I think makes a big difference. Good luck✨

I used it to help with the nicotine stains for about 5 or 6 mornings in a row about 1/2 way between my 9 month cleanings. Like you my teeth got sensitive too and are forever damaged.
