Love this! It's such an important discussion, and I honestly wish someone had told me this earlier. I used to be afraid of jumping into the dating pool because I felt like I had to 'work harder' and achieve more to be on the same level as my potential partner. I worried that they might be more ambitious than I was. I think a lot of this pressure stems from social media, which makes us feel like we have to be highly successful and perfect, ticking off every box. But that's unrealistic. A quote that has stuck with me ever since is, “We all experience time in our timeline. You are timeless. Your journey IS your journey.”

Whew! I've been in the girlfriends position before. When I was 22 I was in a relationship where my ex was 3 years older and he was a truck driver. He had his CDL at an early age and knew that he wanted to be a driver while me on the other hand went to college but even after I graduated was still trying to figure it out. I tried different positions while also making more money with each change. It was never enough and we only lasted 3 years. Y'all are absolutely right about falling into positions bc I never thought I'd be in the position I'm in now. Great episode as always!

The generation gap is important. Gen-Z knows exactly what they want to do.
