what if you get resistance while putting in the medication?

+Chad Ibraham Provided you got your landmarks and directions right, and you have hit a somewhat hard surface with the needle before injecting, it should indicate that part of the eye of the needle is buried in the articular cartilage of the humeral head. It is a sure indicator that you are indeed intraarticulary.

you should retract a few mm, the resistance should subside. If it doesn't, the needle may be blocked and you need to change the needle.
