I was diagnosed with this condition today after suffering months of pain and no luck with home remedies / giving up repetitive sports etc. I've never felt pain like it so excruciatingly painful. I initially thought I had broken my wrist from doing boxing exercises. Hopefully the splint and plenty of rest with anti inflammatories will lessen the pain. It feels like my wrist is in a tight vice and its grinding away at me. If all else fails it will be the surgery. How do people live with this for years on medication alone. Just awful I really feel for you out there

Did you get the injection or just take medication? I got the shot yesterday & it is life saving for me

is it permanent relief? and are you doing the exercises you been doing before? because i think i do have this cus ive been doing handstand push ups everyday and this feeling is here and it's been 3 months, although some nsaid lessen the pain, sometimes, it does feel tight (more in my forearm and wrist)

I just had mine done today. I almost passed out before hand from anxiety. But now I can't feel my arm, but I can feel the burn of the injection spreading
@theantianti73 ай бұрын
Why did you pass out? Do you know?
@knxcholx3 ай бұрын
@@theantianti7 I think it was from the pain. The injection wasn't all that painful, until the end of the syringe. That's when the doctor really pushed the medicine into my wrist. Then it got painful. I didn't feel all that anxious. But, subconsciously I must've been. Because, everytime someone came into the room, the door opening made me jump a little. I researched injections. They say it's fairly common for steroid injections to make you faint. So, it was probably a combination of things 🥴😂

I had small pain if i move my thumb. Will it be painful after taking injection? And how many days do we have the pain of injection?
@knxcholx3 ай бұрын
@@theantianti7 I can tell you I am not experiencing any pain after almost a week. You may want to go see the doctor sooner if you're experiencing a pain like that

Thank you for this video, very helpful. Is there any reason why you might go medially rather than laterally or vice versa when aspitating?
@rheumtutor5 ай бұрын
Thanks for your question. It usually comes down to preference (whichever approach the physician is most comfortable with). In some patients with advanced patellofemoral osteoarthritis, it may be quite difficult to palpate the medial retropatellar space, so I would usually go with the lateral approach for aspiration in those patients. Thanks for watching!
@kaberihalder6101Ай бұрын
Sir, I would like to know when to aspirate and when to not. TIA
