I made a tutorial for this at the beginning of my channel 5 years ago. This is the new and improved version, this will give you an even cleaner and more invisible seam for your horizontal edges. I hope you guys find this video helpful! Thanks for watching

aahh thank you soo much!! I'm working on my first ever sweater and I've literally had all the pieces sitting in my closet for a month because I was too scared to start seaming but this tutorial was so clear and concise and helpful! It came out so neat and perfectly lined up (even though I had to restart a couple of times haha) but I'm confident I can seam up the rest of it now, thank you again! 🩷

Excellent video as you gave detailed clear and understandable video along with your voice telling exactly what you were doing. Loved the video. I have only knit raglan sweaters so I did not have to face sewing seams together but your video made it so simple I will definitely have to try it. Thank you!

Thank you! I have 2 videos coming out in the next week and a half about picking up stitches. One for picking up along a vertical edge like for an armband or button and and the other video for picking up along a cast on/bind off edge. There both coming out super soon! ❤️

Hi! that's great! I have a question: you say to take both legs of the same stitch in the top piece, but you seem to get the stitch in the same way of the bottom piece. Shouldn't the full stitch in the top piece have upside-down v shape?

Hi, if you do a standard knit bind off (or a purl bind off on WS rows) then it should leave an edge that is easy to work this seam. Hope that helps

Hi, why does it have to be a full V on one side and a half V on the other side?
@TheBlueMouseKnits9 күн бұрын
It doesn’t necessarily have to be, it’s possible to work it V to V. But this way makes it seamless and a lot neater. Doing it V to V makes it offset instead of aligned.
@gnome16458 күн бұрын
Thank you so much! Do we do the same for all other parts of the sweater like sleeves, sides of the sweater etc? Always a full V to a half V for a nicer alignment?

What about when you have a shaped shoulder?
@TheBlueMouseKnits Жыл бұрын
Hi Anna, do you mean a sloped decrease shaped shoulder (where you have different bind off sections)? I haven’t done one of those in years, but I think it would work the same for that, it just would be a little more confusing because you have sections instead of a flat bind off edge
@annavarriano6602 Жыл бұрын
