@Greyghostvol14 жыл бұрын
@Horacio Nelson Absolutely not. He gained ten pounds of lean muscle in a year, and has clearly gained another six or so the past eight months. That's on the low end of how much the average person would put on without juicy vitamins (shout out to shredded sports science, also it's not that I'm personally against people using those juicy vitamins responsibly) within a year, but it's not alarming at all, or says anything against Jeff or Jesse (other that he definitely does also do a lot of cardio for his sport, as he has consistently pointed out). You cannot defeat genetics through diet and exercise alone. You will only gain as much lean muscle mass without gaining fat ("clean" muscle mass) as your genetics allow once you've removed nutrition and exercise as variables. People have no idea just how much effort it takes for someone to gain "clean" lean muscle mass. The average man, with good nutrition and a good workout plan, will see anywhere from 10 to 25 pounds of (pure) muscle gain in one year, on average. This isn't conjecture, this is actual science. The only way to get around this and gain more is through blessed genetics and/or juicy vitamins. Jesse is also not a strongman, powerlifter, powerbuilder, or even a bodybuilder. He just wants to gain athleticism for his sport, and the muscle is simply a bonus. edit: reading back, you also said that he should be doing power, compound movements, and explosive movements..... Something that Jeff has pointed out several times, on several videos. You're criticizing someone with over a thousand videos. Watch more than five or six. He even had a video (actually more than one, but one specifically on jesse) where he goes over all of Jesse's progress over a year, *including his deadlift numbers*, along with several other compound movements where Jesse has seen marked improvement. I'll admit that I'm a fan of Jeff, but it's because I'm a fan of well researched, knowledge based KZbin fitness channels, of which AthleanX, Shredded Sports Science, Bullfit, Everyday damn fitness, etc. I also like channels like this, though. No offense to Eddie, he seriously is an inspiration and I admire him, but he is not a sports science, sports medicine trainer.
