Sorry in advance for the long comment. I have watched every WSM since I was 10 and admire the work guys like you put in to be the best. That said I have learned that I cannot do any heavy lifts to increase size due to my occipital neuralgia. Anything heavy enough to do the job is heavy enough to cause strain and BAM like a lightning bolt pain shoots up the right side of my neck making me violently sick and sometimes put in hospital. I'm not even 40yo yet and I can't even lift half of my "for reps" weight I did in my early to mid 20s. Hell even at 16yo I could bearhug squat 400+ lb. logs and walk them 30ft and I also pulled full size vehicles around my parent's yard for fun. I have always dreamed of being a much bulkier guy and ,while for the sake of my health I'm okay with just being fuller and more defined, I get seriously demotivated not being able to look how I want because of something I cannot afford to fix.

The reason why he’s moving his elbow in front of his body when he’s dumbbell pressing is to put more stress on the tricep because having your elbows behind your shoulders when OHP can cause lots of damage to the shoulder joint. 3:15

I thought when doing the dumbbell military presses your elbows should be brought in a bit to take pressure off the shoulder girdle so you don't get impingement and you are still working the intended muscles. That's at least what I do, I'm not looking to get a possible shoulder injury.
@AliceDec5 жыл бұрын
Yeah same reason BTN presses aren't recommended
@erichvonmolder93105 жыл бұрын
@@AliceDec , looking at it again, these guys are doing the military press seated and the bench is back a little bit, so maybe that is why Eddie does it that way. Any Physical Therapists's out there? I only do the dumbbell presses standing so that changes the angle and that's why I bring my elbows in a bit.
