It's really too bad that Roland doesn't get more attention for his melodic guitar playing. He's proved over and over again that you don't have to be fancy or fast to be able to play a great solo! As a guitarist myself, I find him very inspiring!

Yeah he has more of a David Gilmore approach, I respect technical players in metal, but I honestly think they should pay more attention to what they are playing as opposed to how fast, how many techniques they use, etc.

I can answer to that! Back in 2000, there's an image what Roland dislike. Roland stated fast guitar is not his taste. I don't know where I can show you proof but Roland said that.

Once Roland play his guitar, all you can do is stare at him and be amazed! He's simple but really amazing! That's the real Tears for Fears! Nothing fancy yet incredible! Their music will last beyond them!

Yes, this song is brilliant, as is the performance. The only thing it is missing is Yoko Ono providing pathos and vocals to match Roland's and Curt's.

yeah,i'm very glad that you did the whole tilting of that cam. it was perfect! i admire Ro and Curt because after all these years of playing the same songs all over again, they still play it with intensity. now, let me watch this vid again haha.
