In his later life, he grew to care for his son and realized what an ass he was back in the 60s. Remember John was very wild and couldn’t comprehend with fatherhood. Especially when you look back at the terrible childhood he had.

I guess not a lot of ppl knows that Julian’s first name is John but they called him Julian as a kid to avoid confusion after John was killed he continued to use name Julian Lennon until last year when he legally changed it to Julian.
