Never seen that, but I am not a pub visitor. There is a Dutch saying (translated): "Let him shove", which means he is doing good.

I know of the game but I've never played it. Last time I shoved a pre decimal it was into the bin 😂

There are not many places where it is played now. Used to be several leagues around Newport there are just 9 teams these days in a single league.
