As a Canadian I can confirm moose and all other animals will walk across frozen lakes. Sadly they aren't always frozen enough and the animals do break through at times. Some make it out, some don't. Moose are huge and usually they can walk right out if it's not too deep. Like 5' give or take a moose should have no problem stepping out or smashing a trail through the Ice. They are much bigger than you think. Even if you think they are big, they are bigger

sure Virginia doesn't always follow you, but she is still more useful then kelvin.. he takes breaks every 2 minute.. and runs away whenever enemies attack the base, doesn't stay in base when you tell him to.. I had to lock him inside my house to keep him in the base.. his pathing is also broken where he get stuck against walls and don't walk the path you leave for him. Virginia fight for you, helps protect you and the base, she bring you food every morning, even brings things you were currently working with like sticks and rocks.. she shows you spots of interests (even if that feature is a bit broken with her showing the same thing over and over) But yea.. Kelvin is not really that useful compared to Virginia.. I rather have her around then kelvin.

I’d love it if enemies gradually depopulated as you kill them. Eventually the game announces you’ve successfully committed genocide and give you option to repopulate the island or not. It would real purpose to killing enemies and not just feel like a chore.

He can play it because he’s pretending he’s having fun for views. When he hit stop on that recording he burst out crying every single day. Trust me. Game had 400k ppl at launch now it has 4k ppl playing it. When I said at the launch the game is a worthless boring garbage even for early access everyone told me Im an idiot, now I see those same people writing comments on steam page after every update crying how the game is bad.

Virginia will sometimes become 'stuck' at certain locations - particlarly if you have been there and left a shelter (tarp). Anywhere showing a house icon on your map, becomes a potential sticking point. The work-around for this is to erect a tarp tent at your main base, and usually she appears very soon thereafter as she is now set to that one. Overall, the game still needs a lot of work to iron out the many issues present. If spawn rates and combat physics were sorted as a priority, it would be very welcome. Farket is not being intentionally negative here, and many reviews have cited the same concerns. Some people get lucky and don't encounter as many problems in their game(s), but for others it is an excercise in frustration which ruins the experience completely.

If you mod or console command then loads of stuff gets buggy, i ran no mods etc for months smooth as hell then started console commands and found loads of little things getting messed up then modded and boom issues with building etc

I haven’t played recently, but before the patch where they say that killing affected the number of spawns, it used to be so bad there I couldn’t finish digging before multiple cannibals would show up. It’s like a Cannibal Honey Pot Trap of something… 😄

yeah the game is weird as lately, was playing on the weekend building in that place you suggested near where your main base is and while building the defensive wall they spawned 8 or 10 of the cave dwelling zombies into the base. Was not ideal. Just before that the big demon from the end of the hell cave spawned and was attacking us. Had not seen him out and about like that before, think I captured it with shadowplay. fellow Aussie here
