Great detail in describing your work thanks. How does the Onkyo receiver get the signal from the main AVR for the bass shakers? Thanks in advance.

You don't have enough outlets on your panamax to.power up your amps. Sonhow do you power them up. Are your amps triggered by a 12 v trigger. If not then I don't see how you can do it with only 2 high Amp outlets
@Kmahomie3 жыл бұрын
Which rack ears did you use for the Panamax unit. I’ve had it for a min on a shelf had no clue I could mount it
@The.Home.Cinema.Engineer3 жыл бұрын
If I remember correctly it came with rack ears. And I know that for ones that don’t have it you can contact Panamax and They will send you a pair I think it was less than $10 for another set I had to get

We have the same source components. I could use the PS4 for everything but I don’t like it as a media player even though it’s fully capable.

Hi, great video. What is the Apple TV resting on? (Looks like a timber chopping board or coasters). Cheers from Canberra, Australia .

just a custom piece of Baltic birch plywood same shape as the apple tv

Are all your components rack eared? If I was going to buy a pre-made audio rack like a Sanus or Mid Atlantic, what would be a good one to go with for say 5-6 components?
@andrethegiant28772 жыл бұрын
They're not. You can see they're clearly on shelves. Although it looks really good.

You should add a rack mounted PC with a 4k blu ray player in the rack or just make a server.

I might actually do that in the future , especially if physical media goes away in the future

Some good info in your video - I’m researching my rack setup, especially the cooling aspect. Any reason you didn’t also put an AC Infinity Aircom fan on the amps? Or is that just overkill?
@The.Home.Cinema.Engineer3 жыл бұрын
These particular amps are very efficient and they do not get that hot at all , wasn’t needed
@troyhenry32672 жыл бұрын
I read the description on the S10 AC Infinity unit, and it says draws air in and blows it out the front, is this true? I thought you said that unit blows the hot air out the back?
@The.Home.Cinema.Engineer2 жыл бұрын
its draws air up from the unit and out the back

Using external amp for Atmos channels has a unknown benefit. Unless one has got the option to turn Atmos channels off. When listening to a 5.1 decoded movie one will be hearing the same signal that's going to the bed layout speakers as do what's going to the Atmos channels! One can get away with it while listening to a 5.1 movie but listening to a 2-channel decoded movie with the height channels on is a absolute no no. In my experience It messes up the whole soundstage (just way too overbearing) Thankfully I use a separate poweramp for my Atmos channels so when am listening to a 2-channel decoded movie, I have the ability to switch my Atmos channels off! But of course most people don't use a separate power amp for Atmos channels. Hence the reason why most people are not even aware of it!

Sell that Oppo while the price is sky high on eBay, sooner or later Panasonic or someone else will put one out that renders the Oppo way less valuable. Plus, how many 4K dvds are you watching per month on average? The Sony UBPX800M2 is 98% as good as the Oppo, take the money and run son.

@@The.Home.Cinema.Engineer I like 4K DVDs better than any other source, that said I'm watching fewer and fewer every day because much of the 4K streamable content isn't even available in 4K DVD yet. I'm in the industry and when Oppo discontinued their DVD player line I purchased as many as I could and made thousands, so maybe that's just the entrepreneur in me that wants you to sell it. That said, seeing Oppo in your rack does lend an air of credibility to your system. I subbed you and hope you do well on KZbin.
