Hoping you are on the mend and begin to feel better soon. Wishing I was in England; would give you a nice cutting of my miniature Cim ; narrow leaf all green with white lip. Not sure of variety. Would have to send from US. That does not sound like a US liftgate. Ours absolutely do not do that. Thank you for your time today. Congratulations on your show plants and especially your first placers. Your Oncid!!!! Wow would definitely get the cup. Plants cannot be imported to the UK without licences/paperwork/inspections and it costs a LOT of money. BREXIT has almost ruined the orchid trade.

Roger, I take the time with my bark to sterilize it . I put in the oven at 275 farinheight. For 3 hours. It also killed any bugs or larva that might be in the wood.

Loved the video, I checked out Isle of Portland orchid’s website very interesting notes about the different orchids they have, also added a few names to my orchid ‘wishlist’ We are still in high summer with warms days and nights and my Cymbidium has the beginning stages of spikes I followed your advice and felt them they feel hollow and they’re shooting out towards the side. So this morning was very cool so it just goes to show that the night temperatures must have gradually decreased but not enough for people to really feel but the plants know autumn is coming. I’m also going to give it a lower nitrogen feed to see the results on the spikes. Congrats on your awards! Corbin

I'm being lead to believe that some orchids are sensitive to the types of feed and their content and it can affect colour. My main experiment with this new low nitrogen feed is to see the effect on my Cymbidium Copper when it blooms next time. That will be the bench-mark. Other orchids will join in the game, but the most marked effect should be the Cym.

The tall (deep) Cymbidium pots are not so easy to find now-a-days. Some Rose nurseries do something similar.

Beat wishes with the new feed. This past year, I have been feeding with a Schultz orchid feed 19-31-17 as soon as I see spikes starting. Ultra low ppm due to my semi-hydro setup, however, it's done well for me though not as quality a product as Dyna Gro is supposed to be. Congratz on your prices. Here in the Netherlands we don't have categories. It's all against all. Nothing l7ke best plant etc. The plant can get gold, silver or bronze. Depending on grades. So there can be alot of each. But you need realy good plants to get good grades!

In Canada and USA, station wagons have pretty much been replaced by 5 door SUVs and the smaller 3 or 5 door hatchbacks. Station wagons here are always European or Japanese models such as some Audis, Mini Clubmans, some Mercs, Subarus and some Volvos. The less said about Porche Taycan the better.

I think you must have hurt your back looking for a pot for Prima Donna because you did make a sound when finally settling on a pot for it as you turned back to the tray, just as well it got a first place, might take out a bit of the sting of your poor back! We are having the opposite weather here in Australia despite being in the first week of Autumn, we are getting temps from 34C to 40C. Difficult to positively ID a mass-produced Phal. - there are just too many that are very similar.

I've got the first Phals in re-bloom and both are color changers, one isn't that bad but the other one is down right ugly and not even close to what I bought

I'm beginning to believe that the make-up of some feeds influence colours so 'the trade' can produce blooms that we can't re-create. Apparently, my Cymbidium Copper is one such orchid.
