The Yard Man will have increased reel speed if you set it at full relief, meaning a .001 feeler gauge between reel and bedknife. Quiet and clean cut on the back back.

If you ever get the chance to get hold of a vintage UK J.P Maxees, dont turn it down, you will place that at number 1!!!! I used my 1968 JP Maxees mk3 for the very first time two days ago, and it is fantastic, can see why it was known as the Rolls Royce of push cylinder mowers, removable cutter unit, everything on roller bearings, split rear diff roller with beautiful sounding ratchet system. There is a lawn forum in the USA with a post called another push reel mower thread, and a fella there has a JP Maxees and posts photos of the stripes and finish with it, he says it is in a totally different league to even the 11 blade Hudson star you have. Honestly you would love the JP Maxees.

@@YardBrah yeah, you don't see many JP Maxees about as they are so good, and people that have them, tend to keep hold of them for that reason, they are so weighty, so would cost a fortune to get one shipped from the U.K to U.S.A. Hey man, I reached out to you about the Fiskar mod. I did the same thing you did with the 8’’ inch wheels. But what I did different was I attach the stock wheel via (hex bolts and lock nuts) drilled thru the stock wheel and the harbor freight wheel. Making them move as one. It’s made out of plastic . Works like a charm. Honestly I could have used a 5 inch bolt to attach to 2 of the harbor freight wheels to one of the stock wheels, But it’s working great. Thanks for the inspiration. I’m going to try to attach a push broom in between the front 4 inch wheels. Oh yeah you started something!!!!😂😂😂😂😂. Thanks again

Saw ur mod video for the fiskars and was curious: could u use 7” wheels instead of the 8” wheels u put on there? Wouldnt that eliminate the need for the rubber bands? I bought my webb weh12r brand new last Winter, and love it so much, that I recently bought another one second hand as a spare, so I can keep my brand new one for best dry weather only, then during Autumn when it gets wetter, use my second hand one, to keep my brand new one nice🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Hudson is a decent striper… like… 3/4” it’s def gonna stripe better than at 11/16” which I’m cutting at… the thing is this is a greens mower so it’s not really a stripe monster like the Swardman is! If you want stripes get a swardman for sure! 😊👊🏾🤙🏾🙏🏾

Try the 7” wheels from HF on the fiskars. I had to drill out the hole a little to fit them to fit on mine but that’ll solve your problem easy. Still stripes!

Any recommendations for watering systems? Any videos as wel? I cant figure out a system that waters teh ENTIRE yard, I'd rather not have to move a sprinkler around, and I had a setup but there was no where enough pressure, with one big sprinkler in the middle (looked it up its oscillating), and 2 impacts.
