Love the Picture at the 9:40 mark. Person with something in a heap near it.. Too Cool.. Not a bad rock in the bunch so far.. When the inside cuts to match or out shine the outside makes the cut Jaw-dropping..

The rock you cut at 9:40 is amazing! Don't know if u noticed (you didn't say anything), but it looks like two people looking towards each other. One looks like they're leaning across a log or rock (arms across it) looking at the other! Do you see it?😮...The background is a scenery. Might be just me. Ever since I was younger, I could see pictures or images others couldn't see. Ha! Let me know if u see it.🙂

Okay okay. Picking my jaw up off of the floor. So beautiful. The colours in those agates and the dendrites. Loved the one with the splashes of green in it and especially the one close to the end of the video where u were cutting both sides and the senes in the dendrites and then the very last one how dark it was until u put it up to the flash light and you could see all the dark brown swirls and the deep coffee colours. So pretty. Thank you Kim for making the slabbing video. So awesome and entertaining. And i cant get over the swirls in some pf those stones you cut. ❤️ loving it.

Wowsers. That jasper bit at 9:40 looks straight up like an impressionist's vision of the cover of Don Quixote. That's too cool. Could you tell if the inclusions were softer than the matrix? They look like some sort of zeolite. Everything was so pretty as always.

@@MontanaRockMom That's because you're awesome. And because I have no one to brag to about this who would really get it: Today I scored a Lortone 3A, 33B & 1.5e tumbler, 15 (ish) pounds of tumbling grits and about 30 lbs. of random rock for 20 bucks!!! Going to have to work on the tumblers (replace bearings and such), and find two more 3 lb. barrels, but the motors run great. A lot of the rock is yard rock that someone thought looked pretty (granite and quartz chunks, basalt, stuff like that), but some of it is ok, and then there's ziplock bags full of specimen type pieces like amethyst, fluorites and tons more. I'm freaking psyched!!

I started with a small tile saw I purchased at the hardware store! I just made sure I had a nice blade on it to be able to handle the hardness of the rocks I find- usually agates, jasper and petrified wood.

Really nice. The one around 12:00 is spectacular. I wonder how you brace the lumpy ones in the grip? Does Drogon feed eat slab after slab, or must you reposition the stone every time? Thanks for your work.
@MontanaRockMom2 жыл бұрын
A lot of times I trim the sides to fit it better in the grip. It has a mechanism where I can grip the rock at the end and leave room for several cuts so you don't have to reposition it every time.
