Barry, the hip thing at the moment is the idea of the 'Pop-Up' enterprise. Why not think about trying a 'Pop-Up' eating experience? You do things like Farmer's Markets, etc. I hear it's very popular, like that new fangled 'Television' thing, these days.

Did a little research for you Barry, but the game you got is indeed Japanese, it's called Katanuki candy. The goal is to cut out the candy pieces (using a toothpick or pin) and the person who does the best wins. That being said, DO NOT eat the candy. They are technically made of food ingredients, but apparently they aren't really up to food standards since no one really eats them...they aren't supposed to taste very good either. Anyway, they are usually popped out with decorative toothpicks with either food or animals on the ends. Love the vlogs!!

Have been a partner and head chef in a couple of cooperative restaurants before, both with public owners and purely ones owned by the staff - it's such a great idea, especially for a brand that has ridiculous reach like yours does. Add in the curb appeal of your niche interactivity and you have a seriously exciting business on your hands. If I didn't live on the other side of the country I'd be spamming you with my CV right now. Best of luck with it all and I can't wait to see the new ideas that someone like yourself can bring to the table.

I end up learning so much from these weekly vlogs, it's fantastic! Like what the Gromit trail is, what a stinging nettle looks like, and that WSM is slightly more north of where I live (in Oregon, USA.) Also the MVK cafe sounds great. I think a good idea for a funding perk for the cafe is to ask people who fund and live far away to send small items to place in a tchotchke wall. That way they can feel physically part of it even though they would not be able to visit very often, and it would be a great conversation starter for those who are there. And to me it's more of an interesting perk than a name on a brick or a tile. What do you all think?

Just a suggestion Barry, but see you took the step to learn the things you do about cooking; maybe you should have teaching classes. Showing how you interpreted the recipes and how you brought them to life, not knowing how to do them the traditional way. Most can read a recipe card and the steps would be daunting to them. Techniques and things like that. I think you would be great at it.

Hi Barry, a suggestion for your pizza oven. I work for a Train Operating Company in the Midlands and for PR/marketing, they allow Food Vendors to come and provide food to passengers outside or in stations, (often with the company fronting a bill to offer free food). Thought maybe you could approach the Company who operates your local stations and see if they would allow you to operate at a station with decent footfall. Maybe even negotiate some free travel for Barshens? ;)

I use scented nappy sacks to scoop the poop from the cat litter trays - but I have to say they're rather small for what I find in there and I often end up using more than one, or spare plastic carrier bags instead. I only get the nappy sacks because supermarkets have started charging for single use carrier bags now and the nappy sacks are cheaper than pedal bin liners.
@mgthestrange90986 жыл бұрын
Paper would be better: no plastic. Or keep the tray in or near the bathroom and scoop into the toilet and flush it.

Our workaround to the "not eating the last one" is if there are any even number, we each get the same. If it's an odd number, we split the last one. If I have let it sit for 48 hours, it's fair game. That last rule also applies to leftovers as well. I always let stuff go longer than he does, so I told him after 48 hours, it's his.

Definitely would crowd fund you for a cafe or something similar :-) I live in Denmark but would love a free meal as a prize for funding you! Maybe you should make several different prizes depending on the amount, so for example 5 pounds gives an mvk sticker or two, 15 pounds gives a mug 30-50 pounds gives lunch or dinner and so forth :-)
