Funny, funny story about your Grandma, Chad!! We were visiting and your Grandma was driving us to see your Mom. She was driving on the highway with her cruise control set. She then cancelled it out to slow down, but then when she wanted to use it again, she would hit RESUME without getting near the speed she had been going. The car would take off like a bat out of hell. Dave and I laughed SO HARD!!!! Great Aunt Alice story!

Cruise control is not on every car. Most of my cars didn't have it, because I'm poor and always bought the most basic versions. Have it now, though, and love it.

Our old Dodge 4 door (cop cruiser like the Blues Brothers ) I don’t think had it in the 70-80’s. Made me smirk/grin. Not using cruise control for this long is why I drink. I actually do a thing called “rants from the road” and that’s a top 5 topic. As well as people going sub 50 in a 55 on a 2 lane road and without fail cars always coming at me in passing zones. Yay tourists 🙈 Chad please feel free to use that on your socials 🍻

Cruise Control?? Mind blown... I probably use cruise control TOO often, I broke my right ankle in the service (and it was mis-diagnosed/didn't heal correctly). Also, the angle of incidence on the wife's car KILLS my ankle. I have personally owned two vehicles that did NOT have cruise control (one of which I added it to). Currently live near Spokane, kind of agree with Chad on the layout...

I am team Kelsey. Not comfortable using cruise control; I know how, and have used it before in multiple vehicles on many different types of road trips… Hate the feeling of not being in control. The newest cars actually ‘keep you between the lines’ in your lane-if you drift. My husband LOVES it. Had to show me ‘no hands’ ma🤦🏽‍♀️ It can also parallel park FOR YOU😳 Nope. Just… no. ESPECIALLY if it’s an Elon truck (EV).

Hey Chad, fuckin relax. You don't know everything! (I only said that because thats the phrase you used) anyhoo, i drove a 2007 Ford Focus for a while and it did not have cruise control much to my chagrin. Here's a side note also, some overnight trucking companies do not allow their drivers to have cruise control on their big rigs due to the risk of falling asleep while hauling a fuck ton of cargo going 70 mph down the freeway. Love the podcast!

My brother's 2000 Civic didn't have cruise control. It also had manual windows. But still an automatic transmission? But my 2000-2001 cars all had cruise control. So who knows what the criteria were.
