I had an additional idea, I think once this process is completed it is going to be easier to stay on top of it. I remember when I first de-cluttered vhs videos, it was almost painful. But as I started watching them I realized the newer tech was so superior I really didn't want them anymore. Also books some are necessary but for the most part information is available online, so I gave up my encyclopedias and cookbooks. I'm not holding onto those anymore. As you said in a prior video, the projects you once thought you'd be doing aren't going to happen because the time just isn't there. I'm in the same frame of mind and giving up those things are easier. I admire your abilities...so awesome!

Oh yes, I feel the same. My sort and declutter will be in two stages. This is the big one, then I'll get rid of anything my kids don't want in about 10 years. The challenge will be keeping the hoard from piling up again, but I'm on it!

I'll give it to ya...your energy and perserverance is amazing! I know i could never deal with the volume of books and other stuff. Organizing is cathartic though so I suspect and hope you will be feeling satisfied when done. I hope Grant stays another day or two so you can finish! Will he be upset that you went through his stuff? Stay strong💪🏻🌻

When Grant came home he looked nervously around the room and asked if I knew where his plastic tubing was. I unearthed it from a stack of boxes. He was satisfied and didn't say anything else about it. You walk a fine line when you 'help' a hoarder, but I know what he prizes and what he'll never miss. So far, so good!

Wow, great job! I got discouraged just looking at the volume, but dang, you killed it. Now, can you come do my basement it looks the same?. 😅 By the time my toddler goes to bed i couldn't be bothered once my butt hits the couch!😂

Wow, I hear that! I'm ready to shut down at 7pm. I don't fight it. I get as much done during daylight hours as I can, then rest. I'll make a grand reveal video once I'm done.

Anytime I sort and toss/keep I feel so much better once the task has been accomplished. I always feel more breathing room and more relaxed in the end process. Looks like you have really got lots done and I'm sure it's going to look wonderful once done. You Go Girl !!!

@@ColleenLind I wish I had my little brother's Fisher Price bus from the 1960s. Alas, no Fisher Price, but I have some Tonka trucks that I hope to see him play with someday.😊 I love Victorian era furniture, and you can't even give it away these days. Lucky me because I've acquired enough on facebook marketplace to furnish two houses! In fact, you'll see some in the Airstream, which I'm tarting up with a Dark Academia vibe.

Cheryl, you can do it! I'm so proud of you. I have a lot of cookbooks and other books also but when i get back home from camping because we had to take a break after cleaning out the garage I'm boxing them up and off to the thrift store for someone else to love because i really don't cook that much anymore and what i do cook is usually the things that's are in my recipe box and you can look up any recipe now a days on your phone. Keep cleaning out Cheryl just let it go, trust me your kids are not going to want anything, and if they do, go ahead and tell them to take it now. You be careful on that ladder. Loves sweet lady. 💜

@@wandamyers2690So true about the kids not wanting stuff. I tried to give my son his childhood picture books for my grandson, but they came back to me because they were moldy. They weren't moldy, but they smelled like old books. If I ask them if they want to give me back the Christmas dinnerware, I'm pretty sure I'll find it in boxes on my front porch the following day😂 That's ok, I'm boxing up some things for my grandson. After I die he can chuck 'em directly into the dumpster if he wants!
