I am constantly amazed by how many people have not figured out that this is your real voice. They all must have missed the episode where you told us you bought a special translation software that was very expensive so we could hear your real voice. I appreciate your spending the money so we can hear your voice. I also get a great kick out of the machines that you use for carpentry because many of these are not seen in the United States. I love the videos, thank you.

There are other videos which say houses in japan are only built for a 30 year lifespan. This house will still stand in 300 years. Beautiful.

Literally 20 times better and more thoughtfully designed than most American stick-built homes. Your work is beautiful and clean. I say this, sadly, based on all the US home construction sites I've worked clean-up on. People really don't know how badly they are being scammed these days.

It’s amazing how much thicker Japanese wood is for these houses, probably to facilitate all those joints being cut. I feel American framing relies far too much on on secondary holding devices like nails, screws and those hammer on spike plates, instead of the wood itself

The funny part is that this is your normal construction style, nothing costume or specific

Yes, also about 10x smaller and 10x more expensive. Still, I’d much prefer this home to most built here.

But above all, IT'S A WOODEN HOUSE. From what actually these type of houses are going to save you? Floods? NO! Rats, mice, fleas, termites, ants? NO! These type of houses are a heaven for nesting of those. Strong winds? NO! It will be blown away just as the floods will take it away. It's wood IT ROTTENS! How do you handle the moist? By installing holes through all the house? That means the house is opened and welcomes the menace mentioned above. How about the heating and cooling? Electricity? I would like to see the bill. Insulation of the floors and walls : glass wool? Is it bulletproof? Eavesdropping proof? Infrared proof? I want my privacy and what I tell to my partner, I want to stay between the two of us, I don't want for the security services or the neighbours to know. Privacy is an absolute thing, it's not something that you need to share with anyone else unless you decide to. Where are these type of houses built? Why aren't the big scrapers built in this way? PEOPLE WAKE UP! CONCRETE AND BRICKS AND CEMENT are the future

I work in the trades here in the states. In the past I worked for a GC (general carpenter) where I did everything from framing and plumbing to electrical. I am now an electrician but marvel at the quality and detail of yours, and in fact all of the other trades work, on display here in your videos. This home is very small by American standards but in a nice area would easily be worth at least a couple million Dollars. Alot of whatever and how you build there is dictated by the earthquakes you suffer and the methods and hardware used is actually applicable here in our western states where he also have quakes. Frankly also in the areas where we have hurricanes too. Love the videos!

SO BEAUTIFUL! I would LOVE to live in a home with you, Shoyan, as the carpenter! You do such amazing work that is so precise! This house is a work of art! (Too bad I can't see it in person lol) I have been learning a lot about Japan over the past few years, and I especially love learning about the differences in the carpentry compared to what I grew up with here in America. Japan does it SO MUCH BETTER... and not just in quality, but in design... everything is so well thought out, and being in such an active earthquake zone there are so many techniques used that would never be used here, even in our earthquake zones. And a lot of the wood joinery that is used just makes so much sense to use and I wonder why the rest of the world hasn't caught on.... (oh yea, I forgot.. the rest of the world... most notably America... is more focus on QUANTITY over QUALITY :( and more worried about PROFIT than CRAFTSMANSHIP and PRIDE - this is why I would LOVE to move to Japan and be around people that feel the same way as I do about these things... but the language barrier is the biggest hurdle to accomplishing this....Anyway, THANK YOU Shoyan and the entire Team!! Iw ill be going through the back catalog and watching the previous 3 seasons soon, and I'm excited to see what else I can learn from such a great Master :)
