@ seeing as Arberesh have a lot of loan words from Italian and that the Arberesh population came from the other side of the Adriatic. Yes. I respect that your population has kept the language to the best of their ability (especially considering the time that has passed since your migration), but it has had a lot of influence from their current surrounding and has diverged considerably from Gegë, which is arguably the oldest Albanian tongue. Shqipë is the language. Those other terms (Albanian, Arberesh, Arvanite, Arber, Arnaut) are just ethnic identifiers which all point to Albanian. Or as we Albanians say...Shqiptarë.

@@CRE8TIVE_AU that's what I was trying to show with dibrançe. There is a difference from the town of dibër and the katund of Spas. The variations between katund to katund and even mahal to mahal in some places can be different. There are probably too many "dialects" to cover them all and even divide them as a true dialect. Our dialects have a lot of loan words, depending on the influences. Slavic, italian, Greek and even English are common sources of new words. The real interesting thing for me was how familiar arberesh and arvanitika sound to my dialect. Where are you from ? I would say it would be great to offer up yourself to participate. That's what I did. This channel is very open to new people as i am a product of that. I sent a message asking for more dibrançe and dialects just outside the Albanian border, i was asked to join a call and i did just that. All the best my friend.

NICE - TO SPEAK THE OLDEST LANGUAGE ON EARTH. When GOD got angry at people for building a great palace for their own glory, he decided to change their language overnight into many languages. As a result. because people did not understand each other the palace never was completed. What language did they speak before that night? Pellasgian/Illyrian/Albanian. If there is something that can connect us with Adam and Eve and directly with GOD - Is the Albanian Language. That is the reason why the first opening words of all the old religious books can be understood only in Albanian language. Tora, Bible, etc. All the names of continents, rivers, mountains, regions, and tribes are all in the Albanian language. That's because the first Ne"-Ande"r-Dal spoke Albanian, and God had him give a name to all objects and places in Albanian. God Bless! in Je-Ze" (Jezus' name). In the beginning, it was the word, the word was with God and the word was God! Je-Ze" - in Albanian means you're sound/Word.
