Tonight I dine on turtle soup, is what Shredder said in his first appearance on the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles show, and honestly, the world has failed to keep calm since then. Every time this magnificent villain appears on TV screens, in theatres, or in comic book panels, he leaves an impression that lasts for days. Shredder, the main adversary of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and their master, has set his mark in the franchise by being the most power-hungry and ruthless man to have existed. He is clearly a man of many talents, someone whose body is both a sword and a shield, someone who can attack and defend with near perfection. Donning metal armor and possessing training that lasted decades, the Shredder ensured his humble origins didn’t stop him from becoming the leader of one of America’s largest crime syndicates. Furthermore, this skilled ninja and crime lord also went on to take control of other realms that were unknown to man. Interestingly enough, Shredder was killed off in his first and rather informal appearance in 1984, but the man, the legend, was not going to have it that way. Shredder made his first television appearance in 1987 and will be remembered as one of the greatest comic book villains for time immemorial. I'm surprised you guys haven't done anything relating to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Fast Forward, a 2006 series where the Turtles get sent to the future, and face an entirely new cast of villains. I think it's underrated, but still deserving of some praise for thinking outside of the box as far as the TMNT franchise goes.

It would be ok if it was a standalone project. But it was continuation of 2003 series, which is a massive downgrade in both story and animation style. The absolute highluight of 2006 was turtle's clones. They are the only thing I remember of those seriously but unfortunately they were criminally underused.

I wasn’t entirely onboard at first with the Utrom revelation but it grew on me and I appreciate that they used it to their advantage seeing as how they were able to push some serious boundaries such as having Leo decapitate him and only episodes later reveal how he survived. It was also a nice touch considering that was how Shredder died in the comics so the Utrom explanation gave us a kid friendly show with darker elements.

I remember Shredder more as a Foot clan warrior who killed Hamato Yoshi as revenge for his older brother. And then he was defeated and blown up by Turtles on the roof.

They brought shredder back in the comics and then there was a final duel with Leonardo and Oroko saki , where shredder removed all his armor and Leonardo challenged him to a single duel and defeated shredder , but this was a bit more older wiser Leo when he challenged shredder , to this day it’s one of my favorite comic of all time !

Last time I checked, Saki killed Yoshi over a woman named Tang Shen, whose love was only for Yoshi, it's a love triangle that reminds me so much about Popeye and Olive Oyl, with Bluto being the only other person who wants Olive's hand, Popeye always came out on top in this love triangle, but unlike them, this love story obviously didn't have a happy ending, it resulted in Shen and Yoshi being killed by Saki and Splinter's ear being sliced by Saki's katana

@@damianprock1650 The Shredder's story didn't end there. After his death, he fell into the astral world of dreams, in which the dual aspects of his personality were revealed. He had to go through the most terrible events of his deeds and many corpses of people he killed during his lifetime. Saki's soul was only a vessel for the Dragon Lord, the embodiment of pain and suffering, who sowed bloody wars, death and destruction. Shredder tried to atone for sins of his past and teamed up with Hamato to destroy demon that escaped from his soul.

I liked Turtles VS Batman, but what I found wierd is that Batman can defeat Shredder, if its something i know its that splinter and Shredder would woop Batman, batman is strong sure and has gadgets but when it comes to pure fighting he would never defeat those two 1vs1, and he would not defeat all of the turtles at the same time either, since they are stronger then him to begin with, but none the less I liked the movie.

Death Stroke is a deadlier version of shredder don't believe me look at his feats abilities training and accomplishments. Batman had taken him out before people like bane and even justice league. The power thresh hold in DC is just so far beyond anything in the tmnt universe it's not even a contest or an argument.

A cool version of shredder not introduced in media but in the toy franchise was Tyrano-Shredder where in this story arc he bonds his DNA with T-rex dino DNA not sure if through mutagen or gene splicing. Whereas the turtles do the same with different dino species. Though an intriguing easter eggs in the 03 and 2012 reboots the alien dino species Triceratons were an interesting antagonist to be an opponent of the Foot and turtles.

In _Batman vs. Ninja Turtles_ , Batman and Shredder fight to a draw, leaving Batman nearly unconscious and Shredder running away. The more impressive part is that, almost immediately after, Batman faces all four of the turtles and absolutely whips their asses, proving Saki is wildly above their level.

You didn't mention rise of the teen age mutant ninja turtles at all. You don't find out shredder's back story until the end of the second season but it is one of the most interesting origin stories for the shredder I have seen. I wasn't a fan of the art style of rise of tmnt but the lore was interesting.

So something I've always wondered is if the mutagen from the OG cartoon series tranformed you "into whatever animal you had last been with", shouldn't Splinter (who was shown trying to clean the liquid off the turtles) have also become a 🐢? Or had this lonely sewer dwelling human last... been with (wink wink nudge nudge) rats? Either way, over 3 decades later and I'm still not sure if Splinter is an unfortunate, honorable sensei or if he was this recluse living like a kid in a candy store living in rat-filled sewers where he could freely commit unspeakable acts upon the rodent population. Which would make the Rat King an anti-hero out for justice. Or just not wanting another rooster in the hen-house. After all, it could be the reason Shredder got him expelled from The Foot

your wrong about the turtles not damanging the shreeder. Leonardo killed the shredder on three seperate occasions. in mirage alone he also diverised the plan to use ground tactics and fight shreeder from a distance then go in for the kill himself in the orignal first comics. Mirage comics leo killed the shredder twice . Archie comics, bested shredder and had him locked away. The cartoon. Put him away in a seperate dimention 2003 beat the utron twice, the shredder sprite once and the tengyu nick serie took him out twice the second time final mutant form. IDW comics. Leo owned the shrdeeder the fist time they met but leo held off the killing blow and saved his brothers and not killing The shredder then and there to the dislike of Splinter. Beat The shreeder on that tournment that the Shreeder hosted. literally killed rocksteady and bebop first and then chased The Shredder who was runing away cause well nothing was slowing Leo down nothing... After working with The shreeder on removing the extra threat sometime later They both make a deal for one final combat to end it all. Leo loses he with shredder shredder looses he must leave the foot . Shreeder and Leo fought one-on-one in a collusium like Rome paying tribute to Bruce lee and chuck norris and Leo won Telling ther shreeder to leave and don't come back. After some time later and Splinters death to where The shreeder paid respect and leo pretended that the shredder was not there. Leo killed the shreeder when The Shredder broke his word one night and jumped Michelangelo one night for no good reason reason. Leo just went after The Shreeder and karai on his own at that point and won and killed the shredder. Karai was just lucky to live at this point to where a Distruct Kitsumi stopped leo from killing her .
