Fun Fact: Jennifer Saunders was scared to perform "I Need A Hero". She was afraid she wouldn't do it justice. I think she surpassed the original. It's an iconic song from the franchise. I really enjoyed Shrek 3 and loved Shrek 4, Hope you guys enjoy it too!

But then again, Harold used to be a frog and Fairy Godmother turned him into a human and consindering her spells and potions can turn animals into humans and vice versa (the scene where Shrek spills out a big vat of potion, turning most of the staff into pidgeons, a couple of lab workers into a candelabra and a clock and two swans into beautiful women (and those two tigers were planned to be turned into Siegfried and Roy but was cut).

Considering Donkey has a black voice actor, I've always wondered if that was intentionally part of the joke. Or if him being a white horse also had something to do with it, as a subversion of that stereotypical expectation. Or if it's just entirely a coincidence that they felt the joke would work with Donkey.

I didn’t understand the white bronco chase until I got into my twenties. As a kid, I thought they were just making fun of the show COPS (which, technically they were). But when I got older and learned about the OJ trial, watching that scene made me fall out laughing!!

Btw for those who don't know about puss-in-boots he's like a mythical cat that appears to someone in need or something like that, he is very loyal and helps them achive there goals,mostly terns them into very successful people or even kings. there's stories where he just leaves after that and others where they have a deal and he gets betrayed after it and the persons welth despairs(i'm not sure i only watched like teo videos about it),and this shows in this movie as he's veey loyal to shrek after he owes him and also hates humpty after he betrays him,that's all i know and have a nice day

If I have to re-watch a Shrek movie, it would be Shrek 2. It’s actually funny both for kids and grownups. There’s many jokes or references I didn’t pick up on as a kid. The police show parody is hilarious.

Ok, my favorite thing to point out is: if in this equivalent Hollywood-Far Far Away, a horse drawn carriage is a car, and Shrek comes riding in on a single horse, is that the equivalent of riding in on a motorcycle? Also, I’m pretty sure I’ve heard that Dragon got turned into a Pegasus or something, or that was what was planned in early drafts of the film

This film has a phenomenal voice cast! Also, I never realized until now (spoiler): Shrek literally does not live in his house from the beginning of Shrek 2 until the end of Shrek 3. Shrek is living his perfect life, then it's ripped away from him, and his life totally changes upside-down by the time he actually returns to his Swamp and can enjoy his (new) life. So wild.

As I said on the first film I do love the theory Donkey was originally one of the boys kidnapped, transformed and sold to the circus/salt mines in Pinnochio. A theory that doesn't even consider things like his knowing to dip his hooves in water. The mutant Donkey/Dragons are indeed adorable and just like in DnD dragons can breed with anything.

If anyone had the DVD 🙋🏾‍♀️, there was an extra menu option/mini game called “Far Far Away Idol” with Simon Cowell voicing himself and some of the characters auditioning. You were allowed to vote yes or no to the acts and choose the winner at the end. The script is quite entertaining.

They added the scene of the baby Dronkeys (Dragon and Donkey's kids) afterwards to explain why they existed in the third movie since we didn't directly hear of them having kids. Apparently most people missed that Donkey said she was really moody at the beginning of the second movie, so they decided to show their babies at the end of the second one so more people would put two and two together.
