In my 20s I've just slogged. Slogged to get self-sufficient and not just fill my stomach. The kind of hobbies i have, and what i love doing, doing by my own. But now, it's not just self-sufficiency for me, but also fighting back and working day in and day out for what i deserve and have worked so hard for. I even mentioned this to someone 3 years bk, i think he understood, i think he might hv not. I dnt know. But when ur self-sufficient, you don't tolerate wrong, u can be humble to put forward ur discomfort and pause. But people don't understand, it takes time to understand perspectives and that's okay, as long as they're willing to. Some people will never understand like relatives. But that's ok as well. Just remove urself from that situation for the time being.
