SHRIMP FETTUCCINE 2 lbs Shrimp 1 Teaspoon Garlic Salt 1 Tablespoon Cajun or Creole Seasoning 1 Cap of Liquid Shrimp & Crab Boil 1 Onion 3 Sticks of Celery 1 Bell Pepper 2 Sticks of Salted Butter 2 Teaspoon Minced Garlic 1 Can Mild Rotel 1 Can 10 oz Cream of chicken 1 Can 14.5 oz Chicken broth 1 Pint of Half & Half 1 (16oz) Block Jalapeño Velveeta 2 Aluminum Pans or 9x13 dishes 2 (12oz) Packs of Fettuccini Noodles First season your 2lbs of Shrimp with crab boil, garlic salt, Cajun Seasoning, and move to your fridge. Chop the Onion, Celery, and Bell Pepper. Melt 2 sticks of salted butter in a large pot. When the butter has melted, add the onion, celery, bell pepper, and garlic. (At this time, Begin boiling water for pasta.) After the vegetables have cooked for 20 minutes, add the Rotel. Let cook for another 5 minutes. Add the Cream of Chicken, Chicken Broth, and Half & Half. Cut block of Velveeta into cubes, then add to the pot stirring often. By now your water should be boiling. If so, add the pasta, cook for 12 minutes, then drain. (At this time, preheat the oven to 350°) When all the cheese has melted, add your shrimp and cook until shrimp are pink. Add your pasta, and stir the dish well. Once the pasta is mixed in well with the sauce, split the contents of the pot into the two pans. Cover each pan with foil, and bake in the oven for 20 minutes. Gently remove the foil, set aside, let cool for 5 minutes and then serve. Cook sum garlic bread! 😊

This written recipe says to add the shrimp after the cream of chicken, chicken broth, and half & half; but the video has the shrimp being added BEFORE adding those items. Does it make a difference, or is there a mistake in the written instructions?

Cody Smith great question. I edited the written recipe since shrimp do not take very long to cook. 😊👍🏻

Cajun ninja, my wife is not “from the south”. She’s really sensitive to spicy food. Any recommendations for cutting the spice down? Thanks.
@jdog66205 жыл бұрын
Hey, my opinion is to reduce the spiciness of the dish you could cut down or eliminate the cajun seasoning (use salt/pepper instead) and then instead of Rotel you might want to use diced tomatoes. Those two things would reduce the 'heat'/spicy from the dish.

Salt is great for seasoning the water, but add a little olive oyl to the water this helps keep the pasta from sticking. Also adds a little more flavor to your dish.
@ronshawver68802 жыл бұрын
Nope! Never add oil to you pasta water!!! Absolutely wrong. It keeps any sauces from sticking to / adhering to your pasta! Don't need it!!! Just salt. Period. Watch some Italian videos. Just a FYI. Great Italian chefs NEVER add oil to their pasta water.
