Not as amazed at what Rob can do as I am the quality of his videos. Very professionally done. Wish these were out there when I was a noob at this.

Basically just go and get piping used in chainlink fencing and cut it to desired link.

Never mind, I just figured out the issue. The aluminum sleeve was very very cold, therefore I'D tightened just enough for the blade holder would not fit. Sometimes I hate living in Michigan.

2 questions 1. How many cats have you skinned? 2. After the first, did you decide "There's another way to get this done"?

Maybe another "rule" should be "Light sabres aren't factory made. It doesn't HAVE to be perfect".

How are fastening the shroud to the blade holder? Just a retention screw?
@agentdunce65849 жыл бұрын
okay so im working on a project called "kraken" and by the name you should know that it involves tentacle shroud work im thinking about making them extend about 1in or 2in past the blade holder. if i put a retention screw on the end of each tentacle would it make it more durable?
@MadcowGenesis9 жыл бұрын
+Attack Titan That's really hard to say. It depends on the material used - thickness etc. Best thing is to experiment

I have a question. I purchased a MHSV1 blade holder and I purchased the shroud sleeve mat., to of course make a shroud, and the sleeve will not fit over the blade holder. What did I do wrong if anything?
@MadcowGenesis8 жыл бұрын
The sleeve material fits perfectly over the standard body diameter for MHS parts. You have to use a blade holder that is that same diameter.

Can you use a dremel tool for this? Like for the entire part? For example if I want to cut a spiral

+Da_Swifta Sure - if you take you time

I have a question, does the MHS sleeve material fit over a powder coated main body? if not, would you recomend sanding down the sleeve?
@MadcowGenesis8 жыл бұрын
It might be a real tight fit, or not fit at all. You can sand down the inside of the sleeve material, but it will take a long time.

Can mhs1 parts fit together with mhs2 parts?

Whats an MHS part?
@Shisno1325 жыл бұрын
I believe it stands for "Modular Hilt System" which just means they are compatible with other MHS items. Some prebuilt lightsabers from other places are MHS compatible. Such as some from Ultrasabers will list right on the saber info if it has MHS compatible parts. Which lets you swap out pieces as you see fit.

That moment where you break off the thread tool in your almost finished hilt :-( Redesign :-) and continue.

That awkward moment when you spent ages on designing a lightsaber hilt and you forget that hilt shrouds exist...
