Misutzune~Purple ludrot Gammot~Legiana~Barioth Missing only 5 genes, 3 of them come from this monsters... anyway i know the egg pattern and im trying diferent metods to farm them... retreat, golden dens and expeditions... no lucky.... the closer i am to 100% the far i feel xDD One of my missing gens is Panacea (M) and it only comes from elders.... It’s gear was probably the best roster of status weapons in any of the games to this day (omitting blast). They were basically nargacuga weapons but with sleep as a bonus, it was insane.

I’m really happy to see Shrouded Nerscylla is back at it again with cool/viable status options. I remember her charge blade in 4U very well: good raw, long natural white sharpness (purple with HC), 45% affinity, and a crazy good sleep stat. You’d get around 2 sleeps per hunt and get free SAEDs. I guess it’s kinda funny that Shrouded’s main gimmick here has little to do with sleep but still, cool to see.

i just double attack the needle with ice bow, which breaks it and then instant finish, or sometimes throw a paintball the turn after and then instant finish, but idk the effectiveness of paintball when its near full hp. good when farming rare dens since its fast, but if i want the inflict and salt in wound genes, ill go for more consistent retreats with paintball

That particular spot by the lake where the Nerscylla Den appeared is a mean one, I have had that particular spot spawn a Zinogre right by the door several times. If not for the fact I have over-levelled drastically it would have been a serious pain in the backside.

I took on the challenge of early game Tigrex. First fight I lost. Second fight, no retreat by him. Third fight I got the retreat and... fast traveled away. Took me about 10 minutes to stop being pissed at what I had done! 3 more kills later and I got my Tigrex egg :)

Synchronize is the gene im trying to get my hands on. Seems like an ideal gene to slap on most monstie since dual attacks are such a key focus of endgame fights.

Kyle is good but only because his bow is a Rapid-fire Thunder. Reverto is better overall but he sometimes uses taunt which can take agro away from you. Kyle wastes turns charging sometimes to his detriment while Reverto charges his Kinship more slowly I think. They're pretty well balanced honestly.

@@kadachinova5302 yeah it's mostly useless which is wierd. I haven't been in combat with him enough to see if he uses it during critical moments. When he uses it you usually would Sonic Bomb anyway so it's a wasted turn but it's better than Kyle's numerous wasted "Charge" turns

Save before you go in the den and u can farm gor rainbow eggs too, just reload it if u don't get one

When farming astalos I made the mistake of fast traveling after making him retreat. I was so mad! No egg and had to fight him again. Learned a valuable lesson that day!

I’m kinda meh on Reverto. I have another go-to battle buddy, which may be a spoiler for folks who aren’t far into the story. As for genes, I desperately need to farm elder dragon genes in general and stockpile good thunder and water genes for Boltreaver Astalos and Soulseer Mizutsune.

Just using toxic needle for fast kill. Get back attack use paintball then use toxic needle for ohko.

i found a bug, when you leave with the egg, if you cancel the option to leave the den, if you didnt pick up all the eggs you can go back and pick an other...only you cant leave by fast travel or press A to exit the den, you can only die/cart to get out which with brake the 2nd egg you got. but if the den is empty you can only reload the game. Can anyone report this to get it fixed?

They can but you should try to get gold or rainbow nerscylla eggs to maximize chances. You can get regular eggs for arachnophobia, paratoxic and toxic needle since they're innate nerscylla genes. The extra XL genes would be more likely to come from golden and rainbow eggs.

Is Shrouded even in the rare dens? I've got tons of Zinogre, Uragaan, Brute Tigrex, etc. I have not seen one yet trying to farm for a rainbow egg as a perma member of my party. I know some Monsties are only in the normal dens and not in the rares.

I’ve gotten XL genes from LR Nerscylla dens; particularly from shining eggs (they are rare though). I am in post game though so I’m not sure if that makes a difference.

Diablos, Black Diablos, Tigrex, Monoblos etc. Lamure desert area is the best for this. Go in rare dens only (high AND low rank). Or just use R expedition tickets in the desert den.

For Nerscylla farming (or farming in general), wouldn't it be faster to just throw a paintball, then quick finish the battle and repeat it if it doesn't spawn a den?

Quick finish doesn't apply the paintball, you only have the normal 10% retreat rate when you do that I heard. You might have to kill the monster normally

DragonXL+, definitely Deviljho. He is so easy to get from rare dens in every area and has a very high chance to hav DragonXL on him. I probably have around 15 Jho's with XL in my stables. For thunder im not so sure, i have so many kirins and thunderlord zinorge with thunderXL from SR Expeditions that i never had to farm for it.
