Awesome episode especially the ending. Elis, embrace who you are. Understand that black people lean into discomfort. So the jokes are not because you are less or an outsider, rather, they (we) are trying to come to terms with who you are and normalising it through humour. Each and everyone on your team have their thing. James points it out because he's an empath follow James' lead and lean into those things he calls out. Fuhad is daddy (hyper masculine) for a reason, Rem is argumentative (intellectual) for a reason and James is effeminate (over exaggeration) for a reason. Those are the quirks you can make fun of. There are things you can lean into that aren't race or upbringing. And, lastly, you can make fun of yourself, race or upbringing (it's alright if you do it) and is hilarious if you jump down someone's throat if they pile on.
