Liu Yan and Wang Ya Bing, two of my favorites, especially Liu Yan, the leg work is just incredible.

She was the dancer that danced the long sleeved dance for the Olympics. The dance required her to dance upon a moving platform. During rehearsals, the platform moved a fraction of a second too soon, and she was in the middle of a jump so only one of her feet landed on the platform and she feel two meters. It would have been fine but her spine landed on a piece of metal jutting out of the ground, and that was how she sustained a spinal injury.

Her name is Liu (last name) Yan (first name). She is VERY well known as a classical Chinese dancer. And there is very few people in the world who can do what she did.

It's heartbreaking to think that a woman with such grace will never dance again. :( I'm really sorry for her.

That is not the case. She is one of the most well known classical Chinese Dance dancer in China, and she graduated from Beijing Academy of Dance.

He got Liu Yan mixed up with Liu Ming, dean of the dance department of the PLA Academy of Arts, who does hold the rank of major general. And no, General Tso was not a cook, despite the famous dish of his name. He was a general of the killing kind.
