Specialized strength training is an integral part to Beijing style Shuai Jiao. Each piece of equipment trains the body to move and react in a certain way. It is important when training these exercises to have a clear idea of the purpose of what you are training and the intent and body mechanics needed to build the skill. The belt is used to teach ‘dou’ 抖. In the video I take the time to explain the purpose and body mechanics needed for this exercise as well as demonstrating how this and other energies are applied to off balance an opponent.
