Hey man your snare sounds outstanding!! Any chance you'd tell me what kinda range you have the top and bottom heads in? And what kinda Remo that is? Thanks!
@DailyDrumLesson6 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! This video is more than a year old and I am not exactly sure what the head is I used back than. But it is probably just an Ambassador the other option would be a controlled sound (the one with the clear dot), but an Ambassador is much more likely. The resonant head is definitly an Ambassador Snare Side. I am planning to do a tuning lesson for quite some time, but didn't have the time yet. For me the most important part of tuning a snare is to really crank that resonance head. The rule is "the higher the better". The other important part is to have the snare wires pretty loose, that way you get a softer attack and a fuller sound. The batter head is just controlling the pitch, but not so much the sound. Oh and I use one Moongel pad to control the overtones a bit. It is kind of hard to see, since it is a clear one. Hope that helped!

Hey Michi greetings from Honduras, I love your videos! I have a question for you. How do you do in order to keep time with your left leg on the hi hat and your your right leg on the the base drum. I've tried to do it by myself but, it is impossible for me to achieve that goal.
@DailyDrumLesson5 жыл бұрын
Hey there, it always blows my mind when people tell me where they are from! I am here in Germany filming my videos and you are watching from across the pacific ocean.. Thank you so much! Keeping time with your left foot really takes a good amount of time and a lot of independence. play the simplest groove you can think of, like 8th notes on the ride cymbal, kick on 1 and 3 and the snare on 2 and 4. Then try to add the left foot, first together with the kick, then together with the snare and then with both. Try to play that for twenty minutes straight until you dont have to think anymore. After that try to add something to the groove, like an additional kick on "3+" and build it up from there. I am definitely going to do a video about that topic in the future!
@fbeegle3 жыл бұрын
Bro I also dig your straightforward rock bass drum sound. Quick guess, you go just out of wrinkles on batter head, then maybe a quarter turn higher than that on reso head? Am I right?
