@NCMemoryMakers7 ай бұрын
We have several people ask us why we eat certain things with a fork, so I'm going to go ahead and answer that. When we are having to record and touch our camera, it makes sense to keep our hands clean, because I don't wish to have butter, grease, or anything else get on my equipment. Once the camera goes off, it's a different story. That's one of the reasons we don't record throughout our meal, but we sample things right at the beginning. We try to keep our hands clean for that portion of the video, as much as possible. Thank you so much for watching. We appreciate it!

What a hidden gem to the out of towners. Everything yall ordered looked great and glad it was considering the wait time for the food to come out. I'd rather have waited longer to get seated than waiting to eat. Glad it was worth the wait.

Yes, we were very pleasantly surprised at how good it was. I actually got a comment from somebody who lives around there, and he said the typical wait is only about 20 minutes. It was probably due to that big party. That was good to know, because I'd hate to wait an hour every time.

Thank ya’ll for stopping in Hartsville. We actually live about 2 miles from Shugs. It is always packed on the weekend. Great food. I grew up in Hartsville and this building actually used to be a mom and pops convenience store and grill for many years. Then it was remodeled and made Shugs. The bar area has live music most nights. Now, Derrick, let’s not be dismissive of sushi out of hand. I was 65 years old before I even tried it and I instantly fell in love. @@Christina-ge3xr It was just my sense, that she was getting frustrated. They weren't giving her a hard time, or anything. Just being very loud to those who had to sit around them. When I mentioned about not serving them any more drinks, that is when her eyes got really wide and said "That's just it! They're not even drinking!". @NCMemoryMakers5 ай бұрын
@@muttratt9935 Thank you. I appreciate that. Sorry if I came off a bit strong, and perhaps I overreacted. But you don't know how many times I get this question in a ridiculing manner, even to the point of mocking. I assumed this was another one of those. It doesn't seem that was your motive, so I'm removing the comment I made prior. To answer your question, my use of A-1 is simply something I like. Like many people put BBQ sauce on their ribs, mayonnaise on their burger, or salt on their potatoes, I like sauce on my steak. For me, it is not a reflection of the steak's quality, but just makes a good steak even better. I realize and respect the fact that some people prefer not to use it. I simply prefer to. Again, sorry about the manner in which I first replied.

Yeah, I understand. I tend to have little patience with people like that, so I was actually about to say something, but our waitress walked up right then, and offered to let us move. I didn't even know the next booth over was empty, because the backs were so high I couldn't really see over it without raising up. I did raise up and glare back over the booth behind me, enough to make eye contact with one of the guys. I was hoping he would pass it on to his buddies, but I don't think it registered. The really boisterous one, was just on the other side of the booth from me, and he kept either hitting or throwing himself into the back of the booth. I could feel it like every couple of seconds. Plus, there were 3 of them who were making noise, and one guy who wasn't saying much at all. I was going to ask them if they had ever been brought up to know how to act in public, and to be respectful in a restaurant around other people. But it would have been three on one, so it's probably best the waitress came when she did. I guess it's a good thing, that the waitress obviously saw me raising up and looking back there, plus she was hearing them, and walked up and offered to let us move. Kind of diffused the situation before it became one.
