Yes you can! The redstone is always being powered so it won't run out or cause any issues. For the unloader you mught need a block in between to keep them from interacting with eachother

the observer in front of the hopper doesn't do the input to trigger the piston, can you tell me why?

hey, i've got quite of an issue here, the loader works fine except it places the shulker box the wrong way ( not upside down) thus the system can't fill it... Do you have an idea for fixing this ?

I can't think of a reason that is happening other than the dispencer being placed wrong, but I guess you have already checked that.. Just watch over the video again and make sure everything is built as shown, then it should work.

I actually double checked but it keeps dispensing the box upwards and not upside down..... maybe due to the fact i'm playing on the latest snapshot ?

Thanks for the video! It work perfectly. Sadly, i'm a beginner, and i'm triyng to understand how it works but i can't figure it out entirely. I found out that it works the same taking away 3 blocks, 1 observer, 1 piston, 1 redstone dust and a building block instead of a target. I'd love a video explaining the mechanism for people like me to learn. Thank you again!

This is a great design, but be aware that every now and again the shulker box will pop off to the side and if they are tiled right next to each other they may end up in the wrong slice. This is why some later designs used honey blocks to catch shulkers, but I can't find any that do so and are tileable.

i tried both designs in 1.20.1 single player creative - the loader works sort of .. it does not always trigger when the shulker fills. The unloader works really really slowly .. the unload is happening at hopper speed so .. slow. And when the box is empty .. nothing happens. It just sits there empty. If there is a way to send images i can show what i built but i am pretty sure i followed the tutorial correctly

Yes it is quite slow, but if you move the farm 1 block higher you can place hopper minecarts below the shulker you are emptying, the farm will become significantly faster. Also make sure all observers are placed as shown in the video, especially those placed on the back in the end of the video. It should fix the issues you are having.

These designs use hopper speed, so you can only pick up at hopper speed. You can unload something as fast as you can, but for it to work, you have to pull items just as fast. You could use a comparator with two observers facing each other to drop 8 faster. Idk what item sorter you are using though! That's the problem. Item sortering is really technical. They are great designs for hopper speed and you could always speed it up

This can be spread up using a clock of 5 repeaters on 1 to run dispenser rewiring observer to run a switch to open close instead of power dispenser and you can run a lot faster, less then 5 repeaters breaks down on bed rock so max speed, we run this on 1.18 server automatically with a boring system at 128x 3 to bedrock, been 1 years, 7 months tunneling a 128 to bedrock from edge to edge of world on are main server. Use clocks as activators for as much as you can it speeds up farms and sorting drastically

Does using a stained glass instead of glass have any bad effect? is the only difference I see from mine to yours besides that mine is not working as supposed.

For anyone wondering how to fix it, just take down the slab between observer and sticky and put the repeater on the same way but on top of the building block above the dispenser, that did the trick for me!

Stained glass will not make any difference in any farms ever. It acts just as a normal glass block. The color is just cosmetic

I'm afraid this only works on Java edition.. But if you search on youtube i'm sure you'll find some for bedrock aswell
