To be completely honest I think you are the only person to properly demonstrate from start to finish. This is amazing for people doing it for the first time. Much appreciated o7
@johnmatthys70442 жыл бұрын
Tips for people trying this in 1.18+ (yes it still works). Your plains biome will most likely be well above 75y, just make sure your machine is 11 blocks higher than the ground. Start the first flying machines a little further out, maybe more like 17x17 chucks. You will need to build a second and maybe third flying machine to make it down to -64y, so starting out at 17x17 at the top will give you enough room for your second and third machine. Consider the mod litematica to help you build the machine. You will end up building this a bunch of times and you dont want to watch this video each time. Make sure to stop the machine before logging out or moving too far away, otherwise it will glitch out sometimes. If your computer can handle it, turn your Render Distance and Simulation Distance up to 24, this will makes it so you don't always need to be near it (like if you want to afk for awhile).

For those who have laggy computers there are two things to do. 1: Sit in the minecart below the redstone block that is used to turn the machine on and off. Mobs can't hurt you (other than phantoms) and it will stop the flying machine from being unloaded and the minecarts despawning. 2: Since you cannot turn the machine on and off from inside the minecart, place a line of redstone blocks to the left of the redstone block that is used to turn it off and on so that the machine will automatically get turned off when it moves in front of it. Personally I have 3 blocks between each of them and that means 17 mins between each stop, so I just set a timer and do something else when I wait.

Hey SC I'm making two of these in preparation for 1.18 and I have some notes for you (assuming all goes well 🤞) To build for 1.18 (maybe) My current plan is to build a second machine since I already did my perimeter. The new machine will be around Y20, but I suppose Y 14 is a safe height (like 85 is the starting height for the surface) So, since the second machine is far down, it is in the stone wall created by the first perimeter. I recommend for 1.18 you build the surface machine at least 16-20 blocks further than the 8 shown in this video. The extra range will give your deepslate (Y20) machine room to work with. So, build the surface machine further out from the corner, and then build a lower one on the corner distance shown in this video. That SHOULD work. But I have not tested it yet. Update! For 1.18, I'm like 2 hours in. Building the machine at Y 20 works.. but it might be too high. I'm barely a chunk in and I don't see a lot of bedrock. It may be easier to build 2-3 machines all at the beginning, and just do multiple runs through the perimeter. Also the Block updates (return system) is breaking a lot. Perhaps with the new simulation distance setting? The tnt machines work but run into a LOT of issues.

I will use this and test this out the day of the update, thanks for sharing.

I've got some hints/tips regarding this tutorial after almost being done with bombing a perimeter in the nether to y=46 -never log out when the machine is flying as upon logging back in, the machine can glitch out and completely break. At first i thought the bomber tnt'd itself by shooting one up, but one time after rebuilding it a few blocks away from where it ended before breaking, i logged and came back to a broken machine. -instead of sand you can use buckets to clean up lava, especially handy for when the flying machine bombed away alot of blocks. Just land close by and scoop those loose blocks floating in air up. You don't need to pillar/drop loads of sand for just 1 lava block this way. Especially handy in the nether and it's a great source for fuel. -make sure you have extra building materials for repairing and/or rebuilding the thing. Especially in the nether there is a good chance you'll lose some blocks to ghasts, especially some extra redstone blocks because they tend to drop down (into the lava lakes near y=50) every time you set the machine for a break and restart it thereafter. -patrolling the progress can be a pain in the nether, bring the following to let the machine run without too many times on pause: 2 stacks of rockets, a stack of good food, a stack of whatever block that can be bombed to pieces, just use what lies around, a pickaxe a bow and sword to protect yourself. If you're going to fly around removing all those single lava blocks, you'll end up bumping in walls alot for which the food is. The extra stack of rockets because you'll defenitely will be flying alot extra to avoid death. Optional: fire resistance potions, fire protection gear. I'll be making more perimeters in the overworld after i've raided some underwater temples for it's spunges.
@AwoudeX3 жыл бұрын
ok, the hassle in the nether was totally worth it as now my zombie gold+xp farm is working like a charm. I've got a nooby simple barter station, but now that it's operational, i'll need to construct one near to the gold farm for some of my needs.

@jjcn43593 жыл бұрын

GUYs ive got a tipp. ALWAYS keep a chest of redstone blocks close to the farm or you will have to craft them. I flew away from the machine while it was running to get the redstone blocks and now its a bit broken. Not really bad but annoying. I still luv that video shulkercraft.

if the minecarts fell off or dissapeared its because it entered unloaded chunks. I recommend afking at the middle of the 16x16 area. In order to fix is u just have to put the minecrafts back. WARNING: do NOT put them directly on the detector rails. Break the rails and place a block next to the slimeblock, then place the rail and the minecart on top and push it with a piston, just like when building it then all you have to do is to activate the observers that push the dupers when you activate the second one (idk if the order matters, i did it from right to left) the maching will start going like nothing happened. Also, i recomment 2 accounts. 1 in the middle of the perimeter in a small box, ABOVE the perimeter mining machine and one to get rid of the water and lava. Hope i helped

there's only a need to kill the dragon 20 times, so it's better to do manually imo. the sponge farm, is pretty absurd, i don't see why any singleplayer person (or even server) would make that. if you need to clear a large area use sand or a sweeper

Do you need to rebuild the machine everytime you clear a 16x1 area if chunks?
@rebelliousbarracuda97463 жыл бұрын
from what i know, no, the machine runs until stoped, and it takes it running for a bit to get to bedrock as it moves left from where it started, which is why he started it outside the pillars
@AwoudeX3 жыл бұрын
Using this one to make a perimeter for my rooftop goldfarm. Extra hard because of how fragile they are and how many ghasts are flying. Not to mention to clear the lava all the time. Still is super effective!
@AwoudeX3 жыл бұрын
tips for nether: -don't place the tnt untill it's ready to get primed and to go fly (return station on the other side first) or a single ghast shot might ruin everything -make sure you stay close enough to the machine and end stations when they're active, some blocks may glitch out and break the machine when they're too far and out of your view. -when encountering ghasts, make sure to not have any of the machines behind you in relation to the ghasts. elytra and rockets are your friend here

So, what I tend to do once I get my hands on a tnt flying machine is just hallow out a massive space then make my base in the crater, and I'll just keep expanding the area in 16x16 chunk portions till I get all the space I could ever need.
@jupiteruniverse86833 жыл бұрын
would point out the fact that many ores get destroyed from the tnt explosions so if you take a rough estimate of the amount of ores you get from one whole chunk and then scale it up to 16chunks worth of ores, then you'd be surprised how much ores are getting destroyed from this.
