@pseudonix if you add 1 more layer then it increases yield, but I don't know about more layers. Take note that there is some minor changes to golem area that needs to be done for the extra layer

Youre standing too close to the spawn platforms, probably. You must be at least 24 blocks away for mobs to spawn. Unless you are in bedrock edition where things may be different, im not sure. I only play java

I don't have creeper farm .. instead i built a mob grinder ( which has many layers with dispensers dispensing water then mobs getting killed by soul fire) I built that near my home ( 30 layers & it's huge) I get bones, gunpowders,rotten flesh,arrows ,strings everything & the rates are insanely high because of the 30 layers .... building a big mob farm is much better than building different gunpowder, bonemeal,string farms

Its better to get a variety of items in smaller quantity. Building a creeper farm specifically gives much more gunpowder which is a lot more useful than rotten flesh bones and arrows.

@washedkris in servers dedicated creeper farms are better but i play in single player & playing alone doesn't need so much resoures ...from my farm i got more than 2 double chests of gunpowder from 1-1.5 hour of afk Which is more than enough for few weeks for me lol Also solved bonemeal,string problem..

@ShahriarIslam261 I have a creeper farm similar to the first one​ (except they fall into the middle), and i have string spider and skeleton farms based on dungeons. That way i don't have to sort the stuff i want, and i don't have tons of rotten flesh to filter out and destroy. My base is on a mushroom island near a deep ocean. I built the creeper farm just into the ocean. I didn't need to do any spawn-proofing, except for three lights underneath it, so i don't get drowdeds. I have never afk'd specifically for the creeper farm, if just runs in the background when I'm doing other stuff around my base. I currently have 6 shulker boxes full of gunpowder, and the farm is often overflowing (and gunpowder despawns, because i didn't build a ton of automatic storage.) This set up is working very well for me.

Having trapdoor and slab/carpet prevents other mobs from spawning

You can use trapdoors placed over head since it reduce the height of layer to 1.5 which prevent 2 block tall mobs like skeletons, witch and zombies to spawn. Using carpets in some specific parterns will block spiders

Actually truth be told the 1st one shown is the best as you can build it quick and from the start and you can layer it for height 650 gunpowder per hour by 5 levels is enough. The others are for the flex of just being over the top.

Thats not true at all. If want only two rows of TNT to get ancient debris, that’s 5760 gunpowder. With rates as low as that, you’re expecting someone to afk for nearly 9 hours, solely for this farm. There’s almost no reason to not just build a general mob farm that’s going to give you bones, string, and gunpowder at much higher rates, all at the same time.
